7 Steps To Achieving Your Newyear Resolution by Alfred200825(m): 6:40pm On Dec 22, 2014
2014 is coming to an end, and lot of persons
have started drafting or writing out resolutions
for the new year. Before you start writing your
new year's resolutions, here are 7 steps that
have helped me achieve 80 percent of my new
Year's resolutions and i would like you guys to
give it a try.

1. Decide exactly what you want; Be specifc,
know what you want and dont be a rolling stone.
If you want to increase your income this new
year, decide on a specific amount of money
rather than just to “make more money.”

2. Write it do; A goal not written down is like a
cigarette smoke; it drifts away and disappear. It
is insubstantial. It has no force, effect or power.
But a written goal become something you can
see, touch, read and modify if necessary.

3. Let it be realistic; Your goals for the new year
should be realistic and within the reach of your
resources. Take for instance, you are planning on
building a house when you don't even have a
plot of land.

4. Set deadlines for every goal; Pick a reasonable
time period and write down the date when you
want to achieve it. If it is a big enough goal, set
a final deadline and then set sub deadlines or
interim steps.
What do you do if you don't achieve your goal
before the deadline? Simple. You set another
deadline. A deadline is just a “guesstimate.”
Sometimes you achieve your goals before the
deadline, sometimes after the deadline,
sometimes at the deadline. Remember; “There
are no unrealistic goals only unrealistic
deadlines.”

5. List out everything you think you could
possibly do to achieve your goal ; As Henry Ford
said “The biggest goal can be achieve if you just
break it down into enough small steps.”
Make a list of obstacles and difficulties you need
to overcome, both internal or external, list out
the additional knowledge and skills you will need
and also make a list of the people whose
cooperation and support you will require to
achieve your goals.

6. Organize your list by both sequence and
priority; A list organized by sequence requires
that you decide what to do first, what to do
second and what to do later on.
In addition, a list organized by priority enables
you to determine what is more important and
what is not.

7. Take action on your plan immediately ; Take
the first step and then the second the second
step. Get going. Get busy. Move quickly. Don't
delay. Remember; Procrastination is not only the
thief of time; it the thief of life
