I've been trying for the past four hours to get over the error message I'm getting from cmd, when trying to compile -- a HelloWorldApp.java. I've gotten all the steps but I haven't passed this step: Where I've to add this code -- javac HelloWorldApp.java to compile the HelloWorldApp.java I keep getting this error message from cmd -- C:\MLee>javac HelloWorldApp.java 'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. C:\MLee>C:\jdk1.8.0\bin\javac HelloWorldApp.java The system cannot find the path specified. whyohme: The problem is because you haven't set up your Environment Variables. Simply search and read up any tutorial on how to setup Environment Variable for Java. |

Wow, 4 hours is a lot of time, r u using windows? If u are u can copy java.exe, javac.jar to ur c:/windows/system32 for, this should work or explicitly set ur environment variables or still call java.exe from the bin where it is installed, on Linux depending on ur distribution, u can use an rpm to install fr ur centos, deb for ubuntu or explicitly setup environment in ur ~/.bashrc as a root user. |
