A cell! Yes the cell I subjected her to, the cell
of my needs and well-being from which she
could make no personal progress

I was stoic to the misery of her being while
stridding the high planes of self

Living loud

Lost in the rythms of peer pressure and fit-
in-ism

Conjuring fierce winds on the sea of her sail
with my melody of delinquency

"Udochukwu Che'te' Nne'-gi" She cried out to
my hearing, her stricken voice laddened with
grief and sorrow wrapped its warm-hands
around my cold-soul

My life was the speaker to her ears
My character her favorite music selection
What was I to do to ease her pain ?

To live the high life no more I reduced my
soul's volume so as not to further damage her
already excessively beaten ear drums.
