Caseless:
His people dont celebrate such feature and character. They'd rather pick a stella Odua, martin Elechi, Theordore orji, etc, to men like soludo and women like ezekwesili.
Both Peter Obi and Obiano are men who excelled in the finance sector just like Soludo, Anambra people aren't complaining.
Which of your northern governors is half as educated as those guys?
Shameless nitwit.

oduastates:
Ekiti comes to mind. According to them.
he built roads, schools, hospitals etc, but he doesn't eat corn with us".
What roads, schools or hospitals did he build? I don't believe Ekiti people are fools, you guys just throw up that line to cover up Fayemi's failures. The truth is that he did nothing in terms of both physical and stomach infrastructure.
If he had built roads that will help farmers in the rural areas to conveniently get their produce out, I don't think they would have voted against him.
If he had built schoold that ensured even the poorest widow can send her children to get quality education for little or no cost, they wouldn't have voted him out.
If he had built hospitals that made sure people can get quality and affordable health care wherever they are rather than embark on long expensive trips, they wouldn't have voted him out.
The truth is that he did nothing, your lies are stale.

wow. what an interesting read. Politics from the viewpoint of an unrepentant technocrat. This article also shoes how little things can affect or change a whole lot. Maybe if yaradua had been healthy for just one more year, Soludo would have ruled anambra for eight years. The timing of yaradua's illness was most inconvenient.

Thank you my brother. This year alone I have been to anambra state 3 times, I have moved around the state and conversed with the people, the average anambra man is happy with the present government in anambra state. Yes we want them to do more but they can see that almost all what Soludo mentioned to Yaraduah as his conditions are still being followed up by GEJ and the previous and present governors of anambra state. If Yaraduah would have executed them with more speed is something I can not answer but what I know is that the people of anambra are beginning to be more conscious of what they want from the federal government.
Let men like Soludo help in mapping out a blueprint for anambra's development, let them work with the present government and give their own inputs(which I hope he is doing since he is in APGA now) let us talk about it until it's in the consciousness of every individual in anambra state, let it be so strong that no matter who comes in (from whatever party be it APGA, APC or PDP) already knows what is expected from him or her.

I personally dont think Soludo is better than Obiano but thats a discussion for another day.
After his disqualification from Apga primaries what has he done to add value to what is happening in Anambra. He need to make Anambrarians love him because he is very unpopular in the state. And so is Obiano but Obi mzde it easy for his because of his cult figure Anambra.

I DISAGREE

Ok after losing the governorship race, what is Soludo doing to improve the lots of Anambra state.

If Igbos had pinned their economic salvation on acquisition of political power, we would be far behind where we are today.

To me

OBJ and YarAdua got it wrong.

You don't have to be a politician to bring development

If you as a technocrat desire to bring development through a political process, you can do so indirectly by secretly financing a person who shares your view on development and has the charisma to influence the public.

If the people of Nnewi Abiriba etc had waited to occupy power, would their towns be what it is today.?

This is the same trash Emeagwali is spewing that has hindered him from transferring his computer advantage to Igboland.

Soludo the great, you got this wrong.
Valid. My sentiments expressed.

Chukwuma needs to remain visible (relevant) in the polity and to the electorate regardless of season. He is a good man, his time will come.

I don't know if the highlighted is informed by hypocrisy or amnesia but Alhaji Musa "Baba-go-slow" Y'ardua couldn't have died soon enough. That man reversed the few good initiatives OBJ left for him. He stalled power sector reforms by sponsoring a witch hunting circus while crucial power generating equipment were rotting at the ports.
