Buhari’s Popularity On Social Media Was Bought- Reno Omokri by Jeus(m): 9:47pm On Dec 29, 2014 |
The Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri has faulted the popularity of former dictator and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on the social media. He argued that the popularity of Buhari on social media was bought through sponsored posts, stressing that it is a cheap way of getting followership. He also shared a post on his twitter handle to corroborate his argument. RenoBuhari RenoBuharii“It shows the level of hypocrisy and deceit. Anybody can grow followership with adverts but a true proof of popularity on social media should be organic. The almost two million followers of President Goodluck Jonathan are organic, a show of the love of Nigerians for him and his administration,” he said. Omokri noted that it is wrong to compare the popularity of President Jonathan on social media with that of Buhari. “There is no basis to compare the two because they are miles apart. President Jonathan enjoys the support of Nigerians as evident by the millions of Nigerians that follow his official Facebook account, Goodluck Jonathan. The number of likes, comments and shares of his posts is commendable. I am not sure that Buhari has up to 60,000 likes on Facebook with the money spent so far by his camp to boost his popularity on social media. |

Ironic that a statement accusing another of paying for popularity on social media is issued by a man serving as a "special adviser on social media." A man whose bread and butter rides on whipping up pro-government sentiments on social media. A man who is known to create phantom pseudonyms to fight off anti - government opinions on social media. 2nd base o jare!!! |

The shameless imposter and his clueless principal know very well that NO ANY OTHER NIGERIAN POLITICIAN enjoys the amount of WIDESPREAD POPULAR SUPPORT the people's general enjoys at the moment. And they also know very well that NO AMOUNT OF MONEY can buy a politician this kind of support, otherwise BUHARI and his supporters would have been EASILY OUTPRICED by the super-corrupt. The good news for those who are yearning for change is that EVEN RENO OMOKRI is being so OVERWHELMED and OVERAWED by the HUGE and UNSTOPPABLE MOMENTUM of CHANGE that he is now showing SIGNS OF GIVING UP before the contest even starts! |
