The OP is very correct jooor... I have been trying to figure it too. But I am more worried that President Jonathan will also use 21Billion to campaign for votes with all the transformation and fresh air that we have had in the past 6yrs.

Lagos is the most critical state because it houses intellectuals, youths and home of the 21st century brains. Everybody in nigeria can draw connection to lagos, a large majority of nigeria have connection to it directly or indirectly through love ones. Osibanjo aim is to connect himself to the modern day campaigns of door to door by the aspirant concerned. This is the strategy obama and other prominet leaders use. The door to door by aspirant himself is the 21st century campaign method youths and modern day voters have become used to due to its practices worldwide. Osibanjo has been able to cut across that line of people who love to see who they want coming to talk with them. Youths can relate more with the prof than the pdp people. You do know lagos has a big impact in rubbing itself on nigerians, through its firsthand information media and other agencies which nigerians in general depend on. You saw pics of olamide, annie idibia etc with prof that shows you the audience he is targetting. He is using the lagos factor to rub on nigeria as a whole. Remember prof knows youths more than anybody because of his field

You guys dont know politics. A party might be strong in an area but all that is zilch on election day if supporters don't come out to vote. If you are a GEJ supporter please take this prayer with you..." may all Jonathan supporters not come out to vote on election day". If that scenario scares you then you will understand why organizing the vote (which is not campaigning) is important in an area where a party is strong.
