OP thanks for this post. But I seem to have problem with No 5. " So Many graduates do things that they should not do but they think it is strategics/ Employers stating job experiences for fresh graduates" from what I understand, I think the problem here is with employers rather than job seekers (fresh graduates) because most of the time, employers state like 2 - 3 years work experience thereby making it almost impossible for young graduates in nigeria to secure a good paid jobs.... So what I dont understand is saying that "so many graduates do things that they shouldnt do". More light please! Or was that a typo? 3 Likes |

I quite agree with all the aforementioned. Well, to set the record straight, let's put "less blame on the Graduates, and add MORE blame to their Lecturers". Cox When the lecturers aint developing their skill/assessing their capacity/researching more on the subject they are lecturing, how do you want "excellent" performance from them. I think they say "Proper preparation prevent poor performance". Some of these lecturers wont even bother to go-through the topic of what they will lecture on, it's when they get to class that they will start their "blunders". Or what do we expect from a lecturer who make use of the textbooks/notes he bought/wrote during his/her Uni. days of 20years back in lecturing? What sort of Graduate will such churn out? And besides, Government and students faults are not left out in this "blame game" also, Because what do we expect from a school that doesn't have enough libraries---i mean REAL library(not those kindergarten library),libraries that are "E-controlled". I mean, that are electronical. The kinda library where on your desk, you will just dial the control room, and request for the type of subject/topic(s) you need and what they will ask is just your "desk number", and GBAM!!! --- it's there before you on your screen(without even standing up from your desk to ransack the whole library like a "lost fellow") 8 Likes |

School passed through them. All we do is cram cram and cram to pass and get good grades. We don't really study for the education. 4 Likes 1 Share |
