Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state on Thursday described his former members of the G7 group who later metamorphosed into the nPDP that merged with All Progressive Congress (APC) as betrayers. Lamido, who spoke at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zonal rally in Gwaram local government area of Jigawa state, said it is a shame that people who benefited from the PDP are today its worst enemies. “The new slogan in town now is change and anybody that mouths that platitude automatically becomes a progressive. People like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Aliyu Wammakko, Nasiru El-rufai, Bello Masari and Sabo Nakudu were all made by the PDP. They became what they are today by virtue of PDP. But today they have betrayed the party and they are calling the PDP all sorts of names. If the party is evil then they too are evil," Lamido said. He said the APC presidential flag bearer Retired Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is said to be a good man but questioned why he was accommodating politicians with “questionable characters.” Lamido said: “Every Tom, Dick and Harry now hides under Buhari. Every politician with questionable background and criminal past are now hiding under Buhari. These are the same people we fought Buhari together with in 2003, 2007 and 2011. All of a sudden they are now Buhari loyalists. Mr. Lamido, what about Shekarau, Peter Obi, Mimiko, Agbaje, Ali Modu Sheriff, FFK and many others who are now in PDP. What are they now? What do you like to call them or regard them as? By the way, GEJ was once a member of another party with NCP. Lamido is a confused and a man in serious pain. He attacks APCand Buhari today, then tomorrow attack GEJ and PDP. berem: No you are wrong At least he made us know that APC is a dumping ground of PDP criminals that have been cut to size by this administration who has refused to play ball with them. At least he has made us know that APC is made up of a gathering of crooks that kept this nation under ransom for the past 16 years and now they hiding under the guise of change. At least he has made us know that APC is not really the change they profess but more like old wine in a new bottle. At least he has made us know that Buhari is now corrupt. They say show me your friends I would tell you who you are. Its a fool who would belive a man who says he is not a thief but keeps thieves as friends. At least he made us know that APC is much a less a gathering of disgruntled thiefs ... This is the analogy a yorubaman gave me a month back in PH. He said someone can be an armed robber over many years in Lagos but then decide to relocate to PH and start a new life as a good citizen. Essentially he meant Someone can be corrupt in PDP but then, can decide to crossover to APC and then change for the better. After all said and done, the party is just in the name, the corrupt politicians are still recycled. |

Why is Lamido talking like a JJC? we all know that in politics there is no permanent enemies, only permanent interests. Ribadu has gone from PDP to APC back to PDP. Atiku has cross carpeted so much that that should be his nickname sef. The same Lamido spouting this nonsense might find himself in APC next year. He better learn from FFK. The same Fani kayode that was lambasting GEJ back then and was being prosecuted for corruption is now the media director of Gej's election campaign and of course his corruption trial died a quiet death. That is what Nigeria. politics is about. |

Remember this post and remember I told you. It appears this Lamido now wants to come back fully but wants edge in slowly. There other days he criticized Buhari and a bit of GEJ. Today he is on the defectors. The next thing will be, Jonathan has done well just that he should have honoured gentleman agreement.
