It a wide known fact that since Democratic rule returned to Nigeria since 1999 no Governor of Oyo state has been re-elected into power, starting from the late Chief Bola Ige to Adebayo Alao Akala. To me the scenario is likely to repeat itself no thanks to some policies of the incumbent Governor Ajimobi such as destrucion of road-side shops and outlaw of some markets in Ibadan and other parts of oyo-state, Also is the scandal about the over-head bridge at Mokola; rumours flew around shortly after the commisioning that the bridge that gulped over #1 Billion did not have th capacity to take a large volume of traffic especially heavy-duty vechiles the situation was not helped by construction of barricades at the opening of the bridge. Not to forget the monopolization of the local government chairmen, since the start of the administration no Bye-elections have taken place rather the Governor has opted to appoint caretaker chairmen which he appoints and sacks at his will. So the big quetion is can Ajimobi be re-elected? Only time will tell
