One Million Man March Against Terrorism In France by emekauzor(m): 4:41pm On Jan 11, 2015
More than one million people gathered in Paris today to stage a defiant march alongside world leaders in a moving tribute to the 17 terror victims.

Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande were among around 40 world leaders taking part in the solidarity march.

The politicians stood arm in arm to lead the march, which was preceded by a declaration from Mr Hollande that 'today, Paris is the capital of the world'.

Giant letters attached to a statue in the Place de la République spelt out the word ‘Pourquoi?’ (‘Why?’) and small groups sang the national anthem.

Other noted world leaders in the city included German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko and Italian PM Matteo Renzi.

That's is how nations should behave. Instead in Nigeria we will be blaming GEJ and calling him clueless instead of rallying around him and condemning the Boko Haram.

Nigerians are blinded by the opposition propaganda to reason wrongly.

When there's a crisis, the people support the govt but Nigerians oppose and ridicule the govt efforts thereby giving motivation to the terrorists. If not for the negative activities of the opposition party helped by gullible Nigerians, Boko Haram would've been a history. Simply called sabotage.

This behavior can be seen in many aspects of the nation's building.

On the issue of corruption and indeed all Nigerian problems, the best way to tackle it is by strengthening the institutions of democracy such as the judiciary, the press, the electoral system, et the civil society, etc, giving them the freedom to operate. This way corrupt officials will be reported by the free press, prosecuted by the free judiciary, and not voted in by the free and fair electoral system. That's the civilised way to fight corruption and the only successful way.
The system of jailing people indiscriminately is crude and wicked and can't stop corruption. Because it's ultimately abused. Buhari did it and some segments of the society cried favoritism, same with obj fight against his corrupt enemies leaving his friends to continue to loot the nation blind. So this system many Nigerians are wishing for under Buhari will fail. Other side effects is that successful businesses and businessmen will be jailed and their businesses closed thereby increasing the unemployment problems.

So let's open our eyes and minds to see that GEJ has the right policies to advance this nation. He's fighting corruption the right way which I've articulated above. By being open and free. We are free to see how much he spends on food, etc. This way corruption will die and development will flourish.

Just the way its done. A bomb goes off in Nigeria and its citizens condemns the government and not the terrorists. We lose young armed men at the hot fronts on a regular basis and Nigerians still will condemn Nigerian army unnecessarily.

See the solidarity support by the French, there is no description pf ruling government and opposition. Everyone is together in the fight against the common enemy.

In Nigeria, the opposition has made it a political point and illiterate Nigerians cheer them on. Terrorism should never be politicized. If the opposition has better ideas, why not share it for the fight against a common enemy. They would rather tell the world they have superior ideas but will hold onto it until they get into power.

The foregoing begs the question if Bokoharam is truly a common enemy, cos if it truly was.... all hands will be on deck to end it. But no, its meant to serve a sectional purpose to aid the propaganda against the ruling govt.

But let it be known that we have gradually set a very dangerous precedence in Nigeria which will consume the nation in a tenure or two.

We've clearly made Bokoharam and the ND militancy tools in the hands of the ruling class. And I strongly fear that when the tide turns and power returns back to the north whether in 2015 or 2019, Nigeria might not survive the consequent uprising in the ND. Because that will easily crash the nation's economy, no allocations, no salaries, no projects..... just a dead nation. And that will be an impossible situation and ugly anarchy.

While you have Nigerian youth fighting each other off-line and on-line over party and old men who toy with their destiny. None of them bother to ask them selves what do i stand to gain after fighting of these men? Where as nobody will recognize you apart from the N1,000 given to some for rally.

When things like this happen in Nigeria the politicsian took advantage of it and use it as political score point, instead of them to come together and fight as one against corruption and terrorism inrespective of who is ruling.
