The importance of education cannot be downplayed in the life of any human being. The true meaning of education has not been quite understood by our educational systems even here in Nigeria where I write this article from where emphasis is laid mostly on knowledge and skill acquisition than on the other important facets.

Every dictionary will likely tell you like: "education is the process or art of imparting knowledge, skills and judgment." That's what the definition looks like in every simple dictionary. Education to me should also involve the formation of 'character' and the impartation of 'moral excellence'. True education should encompass the following which would be listed below.

1. Acquisition of knowledge

The first and most general facet of education is the acquisition of knowledge
from those that have earlier discovered or acquired the knowledge. True education should largely involve the impartation of knowledge. When you go to school and you're not getting anything or learning something new, then you're not being educated. It's as simple as that. If you are getting an education, you should be getting new knowledge.
2. PROVISION OF COMPUTER LABS. Students are connected to the Internet everywhere except in school. Regardless of their income bracket, most kids carry around a world of information in their pockets on their mobile devices, and yet we force them to power down and disconnect, and we confine them in obsolete computer labs.
