Punch reports that the incident occurred in the course of Jonathan’s presidential campaign continuation and recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, is from Katsina.Jonathan, together with Vice President Namadi Sambo; National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu; and Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shema, decided to visit late President Umoru Yar’Adua’s mother, Hajiya Dada.However as the officials were heading to their destination, the brooms-wielding youths, suspected to be APC members, chanting “Sai Buhari,” emerged.The young thugs made another move to attack the convoy when the country’s seniors were on their way back from the residence.The security were said to have fired tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd.
