John Kerry also said that the world is watching Nigeria with the largest democracy on the continent. And it matters what happens before & after the election. The world is hoping Nigeria will set a remarkable example. It is also important that the elections must be credible, for people to have faith in the next govt. He (John Kerry) is meeting with our next president at the moment in Lagos, the next capital city of Nigeria by June 2015. While the incumbent president is meeting with Nollywood actors and actresses in Abuja at the same time. This is one good opportunity for those in the opposition to meet one on one, participate in high level negotiation, think like leaders and take responsibility where needed. Channels TV just confirmed this news...in fact they reported that the meeting is holding at Ikoyi, 30 minutes drive to the Muritala Mohammed International Airport. 1 Like |

All we need is stability Nigeria. War is never good for any country. and for any Nigerian. dont follow sheepishly. The politicians with all their money will fly their children abroad and the ordinary people will die of hunger and under barrel guns and tanks. be wise 1 Like |

The picture of Buhari with Kerry is hilarious oh. Buhari can barely speak English. Kerry probably can't even understand the little English Buhari can utter. |

Missy89:That's being too generous.2% is almost 1.5m of total votes. I don't all of the other parties concerned would get up to 100,000 votes. @topic,just looking at d pix of Kerry and Buhari u have this feeling of a meeting of a high powered US delegation with the president of the FRN at Aso rock.Buhari looks too presidential and I know he won't disappoint us when he assumes office. |

A number of ex-military officials have warned that a postponement of the Feb elections may lead to a military takeover of the Nigerian administration. They have stated that a postponement may lead to anarchy, which will precipitate the stepping in of the military on the scene. Brig-Gen Ayodele Ojo (rtd), said Col. Sambo Dasuki's call for postponement will move the country towards military rule. |
