Your local perfumes can be made up with two or more chemical compounds depending on the quality you seek, and additives can also be added (if you wish). In Nigeria we do not produce perfumes starting from the origin, we produces it using what we call an already made or finished products, these products are termed raw or cosmetic perfumes, which are imported from overseas.
Raw or cosmetic perfumes have types with different fragrance like; apple, banana, rose etc, and methanol is also another imported chemical used in local perfume production for diluting the raw or cosmetic perfumes.

Additives or colours (powdered) are also used in local perfume making to give it the suitable colour needed in your local perfumes. Adding of additive isn’t a must in local perfume making, you can just leave yours colourless if you like.

The most important aspect of local perfume making is its ratio mixture of the compounds and additives.
