Swiftboy: But currently only the rich elites benefit under the PDP plan. The APC will stimulate the economy. For example the social security scheme will lead to people buying more goods. This will help out the local akara sales woman. The akara sales woman can expand her business, the akara sales woman will order more cooking materials, the farmer will make more money. The farmer is guaranteed a minimum price for his goods. The farmer will want to plant more. The akara woman can get a loan from 300 billion growth fund to expand her business. 1 Like |

kingslly: You do know the audit was for 1 year and there is a dispute about the Kerosine subsidy. Why not audit it for 5 years and resolve the kerosine subsidy issue?. Even if it was $1.48 billion, that is still a lot of money. What difference does it make if it is not $20 billion. That $1.48 billion would have funded the APC housing scheme through a PPP program. The housing scheme would have created a lot of jobs. |

Babysho: Indeed my earlier assertion is true. This is certainly not the kind of support Buhari needs. Actually no side is helped by sycophancy. Every now and then threads that should be platforms for meaningful discourse and interactions are reduced to a brawling pit of imbecility when people refuse to use their brains but instead bray the chants that their campaign organisers have drummed into their heads. |

According NNPC the 1.48billion dollars is yet to be remitted to the nations account, meaning that the amount is not missing, and NNPC is not denying it. We are really abusing dis FOI. Naw soludo is mentioning trillions just to make the Government look bad. ohenhen1: 1 Like |

Bear in mind that Buhari is not Fashola of Lagos state who did that in his state. These are two different people, frm different states, different religion, different childhood upbringing, different in everything except party. If fashola could be a man Lagos is proud of, can you say that about buhari who is in same party? 1 Like |

Adminisher: Chai. Please remind us again what country you are talking about here? Fast food companies taking meals to government primary schools If you read the report the feeding plan is calculated on about N250 per child each day. What fast food company will serve anything meaningful with that amount in today's Nigeria? Mrs Biggs or NativeChicken Republic? This meal preparation will most likely be carried out by some government organised group and already looks like an avenue for more corruption. Goes to show that the APC manifesto needs to align itself with reality. 3 Likes |

Stop digging our landscape! We dont need to be exploring our ground when we can just transform the country into an economically viable state by simply make things work again and calling in the investors. Leave mineral resources underground if you'll be minni them to export alone. Obiagelli: 1 Like |

Obiagelli: I love the way you break it down. I'm very much concerned that the kind of houses built must be tied to the ability of the average worker to pay for it over the course of 10-15yrs. A decent 3bed flat should not cost more than N2.5m and the development of a serious mortgage banking industry (as well as a reformed legal framework to make transfers, repossessions etc easier and more cost effective) will have a multiplier effect not just in the economy but socially too. In most sensible economies businesses can rent a place month by month or for 3 months at a time so they can free up capital to invest in their primary purpose. If they prosper, jobs are created and if they fail the impact is more limited. The first hundred days plan already envisages lowering the cost of forming a limited liability company, so more taxable entities will arise further stimulating the economy. Of course I'm fairly certain that the new government will need to look at the state of government finances before juggling it's priorities, but this plan is more praiseworthy than anything I have heard from the pdp camp. It is good that the APC has high aspirations concerning the average citizen. They have been neglected for too long. #change #GMB #APC 1 Like |

Obiagelli: Ignorance! Nigeria does not get every dollar on every barrel. It's share with the oil companies in a 60/40 JVC ratio. It's this type of ignorance that is fueling unrealistic expectations. Plus, there are also other expenditure. Will other expenditure simply stop for "feeding the pupils" like those Almajiri children displayed on BRT buses? 2 Likes |
