The Commander 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army Obinze, Imo State, Brigadier-General Lanre M. Bello has assured readiness for the February elections in the state. He gave the assurance yesterday while playing host to the executive members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of NUJ, Imo State Council in his office. He warned those politicians who intend to foment trouble during and after election to desist, insisting that anyone caught would be dealt with.
Bello assured that with the constant training and retraining and in partnership with other sister agencies in the state, there would be no problem before, during and after the election in the state. He advised media practitioners and stakeholders to play by the rules during the election and ensure that they cross-check their facts.
Bello commended the existing synergy between the security agency and the media in the state adding that it has cemented the relationship of devoid of exchange of any verbal words. While describing the media and the army as partners in progress, the commander called for the assistance of the media to ensure effective performance during the election.

In the national council of state meeting held 2 days ago in Aso rock, the services chiefs called for the postponement of the election because Boko haram has taken over 17 LGAs in Bornu state. So I urge them to go Bornu state and rescue those local governments

So the Nigerian army just realised Boko Haram has taken over 17 LGA in Bornu ? Jonathan can't drag this country down. Chibok girls had been kidnap close to 10months in case you forget , if the military could not rescue them in 10months I am not sure they can in less than 7days

Lol...why are u tanoids so scared of the election taking place. Do you mean to say the boko haram insurgency that has been raving on for years now must first be quelled before elections can take place. If that is your reasoning, then you're dumber than your otueke master cos I don't believe that what he couldn't acheive in years with extremely robust military budget could be done in few weeks except he is in charge of boko haram and he is ready to call his boys to order
