Starting a business especially when you know little about businesses is very difficult - drafting out your business model, looking out for investors/VCs to invest in your business, Building a great team.... E.t.c

We could really make do with some advice- advice from experts, from fellow startupers like us who have taken a leap and are already doing what we intend.

When I started my first business, I literally didn't know sh*t - everything seemed so complicated. I never knew what business plans meant, I never knew anything about getting investors. I hard to learn (and I'm still learning) certain things the hard way.

So I thought it would be could if we (this tribe of startupers) start a project where we can share ideas on how to grow our businesses effectively.

What Is This Project?

#DearStartuper is a mentoring program that ¡help entrepreneurs/start-up owners to get answers  to questions they are likely to face in their business.

#DearStartuper will be launched as a twitter live chat that will bring together small business owners across Africa and the world to discuss issues relating to running and growing a business.

Every Sunday I will be conducting live interviews with noted Start-up experts, where they'd share there struggles and how they overcame certain challenges in their businesses.

The guest types answers to questions using their twitter accounts and other startupers/small biz owners can join into the conversation by using the hashtag #DearStartuper to chime in with answers as well.

Goal Of #DearStartuper: The primary goal of this project is to end small business failure by creating a start-up community where startupers can get the resources they need for the growth of their business and still be able to connect and share fresh ideas with like minds.

How Do I Become Part Of This Project

#1 You need to get a twitter account - I can't emphasize how important this is for your small business.

#2 If you think you know few things about start-ups or your experiences and are ready to share them with the community, all you need do is;
a) Send your topic to my email, a short bio about yourself and why you think you are qualified to share ideas on this topic.
b) You are also required to send in 10 questions and answers in paragraph form to demonstrate your expertise (that's when you have been selected)

How Does #DearStartuper Work: You must have a twitter account to participate. And the chat holds every Sunday night 6pm-7pm GMT. Participants follow the chat using the hashtag #DearStartuper. In the last 10 minutes of every chat, all participants are invited to share something about what their business does and what they stand for in a tweet (ending each tweet with the hashtag #DearStartuper).

Transcript and Other Crazy Things: There will be a transcript of each chat on this blog on Mondays.
And every week (Thursdays)  I'd be doing a feature on a startuper where I'd review the start-up, what they stand for and what they are doing to create something that matters- the goal of this is to help new start-ups get early adopters. If you want your start-up to be featured on this blog, send me an email containing the name of your start-up, what you do and stand for, website links, what your USP is. And other information that you think we should know.

If You have any suggestions or ideas on how we can do this better kindly shoot me a mail at sadiqdaniel@gmail.com.

PS: We'd be launching this project on the first Sunday of March 2015... Tag along. Tell someone about this.
