This is exactly the same thing fashola did with LASTMA, yet people are not complaining. do you know how many lastma personnels are patrolling the streets? or are there no traffic lights in lagos?

Lets be objective about this; there are practically no jobs, and then the number of graduates cannot compare with number of youths that did not attend university, not to talk of those that only have FSLC (first school leaving certificate).

firstly, this job opening will not be directed at graduates, and for a FSLC holder, minimum wage would go a long way in helping them make a legitimate livelihood.

i must commend this initiative because if a hundred thousand semi illiterate youths can be trained as traffic warders, then its a step forward.

ultimately, when the economy can support funding traffic light projects across all cities, then their roles can easily be integrated to traffic patrol personnels.

this is a big embarrassment. this is the kind of millions of job that jonny walker will claim he created after 5 years and don't be surprised that they will say they spent 200 billion naira to create this job, buy them uniform and train them.

honestly it is a big shame in a country where a minister carries handbag worth 12 million naira and hires private jet for 100 billion naira.

for those of you that are paid to clean oga jonny walker lies online, pls let your conscience judge you, if you borrow money to train a child in the midst of poverty and all the government can offer them is a traffic warden job.pls can your heart pray for such a Government.

I just pity some Nigerians, especially from Nairaland. when govt would initiate traffic light project, they will say the contracts are being inflated and awarded among themselves. as a growing economy, this is a step in the right direction. do you realize how much in annual support fee the govt would pay companies to manage traffic lights? it would go a long way in payment of monthly minimum wage to these traffic warders.

This is exactly the same thing fashola did with LASTMA, yet people are not complaining. do you know how many lastma personnels are patrolling the streets? or are there no traffic lights in lagos?

If fashola and other state governments already have traffic regulatory agencies, why still replicate it.isnt there other things they can do.

Traffic wardens? Na job be that How much will the salary be I hope the job won't be for B.Sc and M.Sc grads

Go and ask about the so-called jobs created in Osun State where the O'YES cadets (including University gaduates) are paid ten thousand naira minus tax as salary for bush clearing, refuse packing, traffic contrl etc. The referred case of Osun state is best described as slavery. I presume the federal Govt job cannot be of this sort.

Well if the job is well paid with other perks to cushion hazardous effects it might pose to workers all the better.
