the 2015 January webometrics renking of universities has been released. the list which was supposed to be released in January was delayed due to the hacking of their website and the hackers doing significant damage by changing the rankings of universities.

Covenant university tops the list, moving from second position to first and pushing OAU to the second position, OAU is followed by UI, UNILAG and UNILORIN respectively, covenant university also moved from the 25th position in africa to the 15th position.
