Valentine's Day - The Devil's Day!

I'm not surprise at the way many young
people are advertising their availability for
the lover's day. I'm also not surprise seeing
our ladies walk into the market to get
seductive dresses - mini skirt, bum short,
revealing leggings and tops... just to look
attractive before guys and their lovers. ''Who
will be my Val?'' This has been the song they
kept singing. But show me a lady who fears
the Lord, and I will tell you she is a lady who
will never open her legs for another man she
is not married to.
Show me a man who has respect for God,
and I will tell you he is a man who has his
trouser zipped up till his wedding night.
Never will he compromise the word of God.
Are you going to open those legs for a man
you are not married to, this Valentine? Are
you going to compromise the word of God
you have heard? Will you lose the godly
virtues you have kept this long? Cos I know
the devil is already speaking into the hearts
of many young people, even married ones.
He is speaking so loud, so clear, and so fast.
''It's Valentine's day, what are you going to
do?'' Did you hear him ask you this?
Oh; he is already speaking into the minds of
many married men. ''Don't you think it will
be nice if you hang out with your co-
worker?'' He suggested. ''Don't you think it
will be fun? Don’t you think she will be better
in bed than your wife? You could give it a
try, you know! C’mon, Mr. Johnson, pull off
your ring and act like a single man, try out
this other side of life.''
''Just give it a try, its lovers day not family
day. It's a day set out to be with that person
you admire, or don’t you think so? Just call
her and book a date with her, this could be
your last opportunity to hang out with her.”
I could also hear the devil speaking to some
single guys, in a gentle manner, ''C'mon lover
boy, most handsome boy on earth, go out
and prove that you are a man, boy! Invite
her to your house, make her comfortable, try
kiss her, try make love to her, she won't
refuse you at all, try all you could do, even if
it means drugging her, do it and have fun.''
Then to the single ladies he comes this way,
''Do you know you can participate in this? Do
you know virginity is not dignity? Is lack of
opportunity. Here is an opportunity for you
to try out those things you see in movie.
Those things you read in romantic novels.
After all, you are mature enough to
experience it.''
Hmm! No doubt, the devil has been speaking
to many and he is still speaking. Are you
going to do whinnat he says? Are you going
to disobey God just because of few minutes
of pleasure? Are you going to displease
yourself and please your lover, your friends,
nyour admirer? My dear, is not worth it. Hear
ye the word of Lord, ''there is way that
seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death.'' Proverb
16:25. You may not be privilege to plead for
forgiveness after the ungodly act. You may
not be successful in that journey you are
about to embark on. Don't you think it is
better you take a U-turn before it will be late?
Dear singles,
Why not V -ALUE yourself and your body?
Why not A -BSTAIN from all forms of evil and
ungodliness?
Why not L -IVE a life of honour unto God?
Why not E -NDURE for it is not eternity?
Why not N -EGLECT what friends are saying?
Why not T -ERMINATE that appointment with
him/her?
Why not I -NVITE him/her to the church?
Why not N -AIL those sins to the Cross of
Calvary?
Why not E -NTER His gate with thanksgiving,
with praises on your lips, instead of shame
and disgrace?
VALENTINE’S DAY may be sweet, but can
never be sweeter than Jesus. Don’t trap
yourself at the corner of a building in the
name of love, don’t go and visit him all alone.
Know who you are in Christ, remember you
are weak when it comes to resisting men,
remember your last encounter. You as a guy,
be yourself, be self controlled. Don’t mix up
with guys that will help destroy your future,
don’t go and start drinking so that you will
do things without your clear eyes. Respect
yourself, and respect your maker.
Instead of buying condoms, why not buy
balloons for children and see how excited
they will be. Instead of buying drugs to
prevent unwanted pregnancy, why not buy
drugs for the sick ones around you or in
hospital. Instead of kissing and hugging
those opposite sex you are not married to,
why not try hugging the elderly ones and
the less privilege ones around you just to
show your love for them. Don't be fooled by
the devil my dear, don't be deceived by
those lovely words of that boy or girl. Think
different, talk different, act different, after all,
you are different.
I pray this day that every spirit of lust will be
far from us, let the negative things that
comes with Valentine be far from us also. I
pray that the name of God will be glorified in
our lives, in Jesus Name.
