I was roused from a deep sleep. What's the
problem?" I thought. The answer came soon
enough. "Baba ti lo oo". My grandpa was dead. I
thought for a few minutes, too shocked for words.
It was expected but it was shocking all the same.
I rolled over and resumed my sleep. little did I
know that I would dream of our times together.
Pa Robert Jilani...A father, a grand father, a
great grand father, a mentor and a friend. I
recall him smiling in so coy a manner. He will surely
be missed. He went home...to where the flowers
bloom and to where the birds sing softly. He went
to where the streets are made of gold and where
there are no tears, only laughter!!
Oh...its valentines day I thought. "Why did such
have to happen on a day when we are meant to
show love to our loved ones?"
God had loved this man so much and God wanted a
val pal. So God waited for Feb 14 (vals day). God
had taken his love and brought him home.
