AIG Orders the Arrest of Police that Killed Professor Falaki (Executive Director Institute for Agricultural Research, Samaru, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria), Villagers Said they Didn't Kill him.

Finally, the police have the difficult task of proving some of their own guilty.

As narrated by Abbas, who was in the company of the late Prof., they stayed for about two hours in the village of Fala, eating and interacting with the villagers while awaiting a vehicle to convey them to Kano. It was then a policeman advised them to go to the police station and write a statement on how they were robbed of their 4W-D earlier.

While in the police station, some policemen patrol vehicles arrived at the station. They accused the Prof. and his brother of being Boko Haram members.

The Prof. showed them his ID card as a director of an institute of the Federal Government and a lecturer at ABU. The police threw it back at him and said there are BH members even in governemnt. The next thing was beatings and attack with weapons by the police. The Prof. died instantly.

They dragged his body and that of Abbas whom they presumed was also dead and dumped them in their patrol van and headed for their headquarters at Bompai, Kano.

They arrived the city after stopping at every police station on the way showing their 'heroic' act against BH.

At the police headquarters in Kano, the police hooligans were given a hero's welcome as gallant officers who killed a Boko Haram member and arrested two. It made the headlines of radio stations in the city.

The following day, Sunday, yesterday, the story started to change...and change...while the police still insisting that the Prof and his brother were top members of BH. They refused to release the brother, the driver and the corpse of the Prof until the IG intervened. While releasing them, the police concocted the "mob theory" and tried hard to oush it down the throats of the Professors who went to receive them, almost pleading for acceptance.

The Prof was buried at 4pm yesterday and the brother finally released shortly before 6pm.

The latest is that the AIG in charge of the zone has ordered the arrest of the police team that killed the Prof. and for the DPO and all other officers at the station to report immediately to the zonal police headquarters.

NPF! Heroes or villains?

NPF is a mixture of human and animal but unfortunately, animal among the NPF carries the larger percentage. Boko Haram, they won't kill not until when the Army intervened. Na the same set of people go dey extort money from our poor drivers on the road, na dem go see arm robbers cum change to mufti unto say dem dey afraid.... And now, they ve wasted an innocent and notable man in our society. They are meant to be protecting us, is this how they want to be carrying out their responsibility? R.I.P prof

I wonder oh! If these culprits are left unpunished, this can make ASUU to embark an industrial action because Prof. was a very active member of the union. Moderators can you please do the needful. Push this to the front page. Let the whole world see what NPF is made up

An innocent intellectual (Prof. For that matter) is brutally murdered by in cold blood by the Police who are suppose to have protected him & yet you think it does not require the national attention.
