Okonjo is saying Nigeria lost N208bn x 4 years = 832 billion under her watch and this is just from the civil service alone. When Buhari enters office, we shall plug the major ones namely: Contract inflation estimated at N1 trillion every year. Crude oil receipt theft (various ways) estimated at N2 trillion Contract non performance estimated at N600bn Tax evasion estimated at N4 trillion Fuel subsidy estimated at N1 trillion 2 Likes |

Apparently, this's are the types of good jobs by the Jonathan administration that gets people like OBJ scared. Jonathan is busy blocking all avenues to loot our national treasury from proxy, but some bad belle people don't like it. The next move would be to track down and jail those who've been receiving the ghost funds. 2 Likes 1 Share |

ozoigbondu: But is it NOT CURIOUSLY FUNNY that Jonathan can announce how "Biometrics" helped remove GHOST WORKERS..... But is VEHEMENTLY AGAINST USE OF SAME IN THE COMING ELECTIONS? Why is Jonathan so desperate in forcing himself on Nigerians who dont want him anymore? Jonathan is like the "Ghost Worker" who was protesting the use of Biometrics for Salary Payments.... when asked to come up and thumbprint to get salary, he refused to show up! Like it or not, We will vote ONLY with Biometric Card Reader. Enough of Election Rigging, if Jonathan wins fine...otherwise, the people'c CHOICE MUST PREVAIL. March4Buhari until Jonathan learn to play "fair" and use Card reader for voting. Lastpage! Like said, dont just "identify" Ghost workers. Go to the bank and fish out who was collecting these money ---- Punish them Go to the Office and identify the accountant who was doing this Transfers --- Punish them Go tot he Oga at the top who was "signing-off' on this illegal transfers ---- Punish them But hey, all they did was "stealing"..... and that is not corruption!.... - President Jonathan So they go scot-free and the cycle repeats itself! 3 Likes |

In August 2014, the accountant-general of the federation said they saved N160bn as at December 2013 from blocking ghost workers using IPPIS. The news was on nairaland then. https://www.nairaland.com/1855263/fg-saves-n160bn-ghost-workers Now NOI said they saved N208bn in December 2014 using the same system. Ok. But why was it now news to the President (according to her) when almost the same amount was saved by the same system a year earlier? Why was salary not delayed in 2013 when the system reportedly saved N160bn? NOI explanation did not also cover why Road Safety and some other agencies were owed up to 3 months salary as at December 2014 since she only explained why December salary was delayed. |

mrrock: This is not a good job. Six years in office you just discovered this on the eve of elections when people have been accusing your government of corruption?. It is low IQ to praise a government for this, they have been in office for too long not to be complicit in it. Every Nigerian knows civil service ghost workers is the minor corruption source and it is the only one that IPIS software can catch. The major corruption is in NNPC crude lifting, fuel importation and sales, in contract awards within the ministries, in overpayment for contracts, in non returning of unspent funds yearly. et.c, et.c.... No technology can catch that one. Because the big thieves are stealing big in NNPC and at the top of the ministries, they left the minor stealing (ghost workers) for networks of middle career people within the ministries for many years. Everybody settling the juniors under him. Note that it is because Bunari is coming that these things are being dismantled now. 4 Likes |

Adminisher: Buahari isn't coming or going anywhere. And to suggest this clean up is happening because Buhari is coming is a bit funny cause this's not the first time he's contesting in election. And, about technology not being able to catch oil thieves, Jonathan have made the below efforts which was frustrated. 1. Jonathan have made effort to stop fuel subsidy payment to oil cabals to avoid any scams in the first place, but you guys refused. Na una say una no want subsidy removed. 2. Ms. Madueke have forwarded a PIB to the senate to reform the oil sector, but you guys again blocked the effort by refusing it's approval. Una no want sign oil PIB to law. How on earth do you still accuse Jonathan's administration of bigger corruption in oil? 6 Likes |
Kai - is this Ngozi or someone else. What does she mean by transfer of money that is electronically cash. Doesn't she knows that electronically transfer are cash backed. Is this woman truly intelligent or just presumed to be. Now that over 65,000 ghost workers have been identified, what is the next step - ignore the accounts where these monies have been credited in the past or go after those who have been crediting the account and withdrawing the monies. Finally, our budget is prepared with an oil benchmark of $65 per barrel, while the current price is $47 per barrel. Is she expecting a miracle to occur. That budget has been prepared erroneously
Don't worry she is a specialist on the field |
