starcomms modem is 35000, that is 12k for a month's assess plus 23000 for the modem. what happened is simple , some one bough it, was disappointed by the performance, and now wants to get rid of it after the month has expired.
of course it could also be their inhouse sharp practices - the staff are running a scam sell to personal users at the official rate - n36000, but record the sale as a sale to a corporate entity, at n31000. i know because i had some issues with my modem, and when i went there they eventually fished out a teller signed to a technical company.

off topic - starcomms technical support is shit. they referred to some idiot who went off on his lunch break, then came back and wasn't even smart enough to claim he'd gone to work on a job (fantastic customer service) the guy was obviously used to people handing over their systems to his guruness, but he had no idea how to navigate through my tweaked laptop gui. he couldn't get the modem to work, and suggested as usual that i format. nothing doing . i went back home and found the problem - a service i'd disabled. fixed that and voila! hello maximum 30kbps download
