http://lekki.jndz.gov/eng/Lekki_Intro.html World's largest methanol plant coming to Lagos free zone Mon, 04 Feb 2008 15:53 TradeInvestNigeria Staff Viva Methanol Limited, Eurochem Corporation's Nigerian subsidiary, is going to establish the world's biggest methanol plant in the Lagos Free Trade Zone. According to Mohan Vaswani, Viva Methanol Limited chairman, the plant will produce 10 000 metric tonnes of methanol per day – making it the largest of its kind in the world. With the help of UOP technology, methanol will be converted to high-quality olefins. The company expects to produce an annual amount of 1.3-million metric tonnes of propylene and ethylene for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene, which are used make plastics, carpeting, and films, amongst other products. Methanol-to-olefins technology will allow the company to use natural gas, rather than the more expensive crude oil derived feed stock, to produce olefins. The plant is expected to start with operations in 2012. http://www.tradeinvestnigeria.com/news/855480.htm ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lekki Free Trade Zone: West Africa's premier business destination Mon, 08 Dec 2008 13:22 Region Lagos Nigeria Sector Agriculture and Agri-processing Clothing and Textiles Construction and Materials Electronics Food and Beverages Forestry & paper Manufacturing Mining & Metals Oil and Gas Pharmaceuticals & Health Care Property Retail Tourism & Leisure Summary: The Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos State is a perfect location for investors interested in agri-processing, clothing and textiles, food and beverages, forestry, mining, pharmaceuticals, retail, housing and tourism. OUR VISION To engage directly in the economic development of Nigeria by providing a choice for investors in the most conducive free zone business environment that will be recognized for setting standards of excellence. LOCATION The Lekki Free Trade Zone is located in the south eastern corner of Lagos State around Latitude 6o 35’ North of the equator and Longitude 3o 52’ east of the Green Meridian. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the south and the Lekki Lagoon in the north. The site is about 60 km from the Lagos Central Business District and about 80km from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport. The phase being developed is located on the western portion of the southern part of Lekki Peninsula. It extends to the Lekki Coastal Road in the south and stretches to the Lagos Lagoon in the north, all being divided into three parts covering a total area of 30 square kilometers. The zone has excellent ecological conditions with mangrove wetlands along the shores of the Lekki Lagoon in the north and heavy foliage of abundant tropical vegetation, mangrove swamps palm trees in the central and lower areas. The site still retains its natural ecological features with an abundance of loose sandy soil. In April, 2006, the Lekki Free Zone development Company (LFZDC) was incorporated in Lagos as the joint venture among CCECC-BEYOND, the Lagos State Government and Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited (LWIL) and registered by the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA). LFZDC is the developer, operator and manager of LFTZ, authorized by both the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Lagos State Government. An important landmark towards actualising the project was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the LWIL representing the Lagos State Government and the nine Atlantic coastline settlements of parcel A on 27th November, 2007. This created the much needed platform for a smooth take off of the project by involving members of host communities in the development of the zone. I just want us to know what the free trade zone is all about. It's not just like any other trade centre. You can see that the plan in that free trade zone area will make that place to be as developed as Victoria Island (vi) in just about ten years time, and it will be more more beautiful than vi. This is the reason why you have to be careful buying land there! The Government land is too much. The only places that are not government land are those villages close by and people are dueling on the lands already. So, you buying from those villages, you will need direct connection. You must be connected to one good and trusted villager for you not lost your money. Very few land owners there might be having C of O and what you get when buying land there mostly is just a receipt! Some people are saying that the price to buy land there is 550k! If you are very rich, you can buy one of those 550k and come and ask me if I can help you to get one plot and I will sell to you for about 800k - 1M. Few days later, we will see which is genuine and which is 419. If you are intresting in getting land there, please contact beninman via beninman2008@yahoo.com and I will help you search for a genuine land that will give you peace. You not get nothing to fear if you want to buy land there. I will help you look for a genuine one and you give me small thing after buying. Remeber when Benins are bad, no one is as bad as that bad benin person, and when benin is good, no on as as good as that benin person. |

I said you can even get a land there for just a thousand naira (N1,000) only. The only problem there is will that land that you are buying become yours? Or did you just want to give someone money for the sake of wanted to buy land? What I give is a sure banker! |
