The Senate and House of Representative resumed plenary on tuesday 17th February after a 33 days election break. After yesterday plenary, they adjourned till 24th again due to an excessive deliberation on the postponement of the general election. It is very bad for our democratic settings for the legislative arm to always cut short their seating days which suppose of be 3 times in a week but for one reason or the other they adjourn after tuesday and wednesday seatings and this has been happening for some months now. Also, the seating periods is between 11am and 1pm which is just 2 hours. This is very ridiculous to our democracy. With this, it shows they are very lazy and it needs to be curb. |
