Nigeria has oil reserves of about 37.2 billion barrels.

Daily, Nigeria drills (or drains) about 2.5 million barrels.

Multiply 2.5 million barrels of oil by a benchmark of $60 per barrel to know how much our leaders (that is, Nigeria) make(s) daily.

Multiply what you get by 160 naira per dollar (against the 199.5 naira it currently is).

There you have that your leaders (that is, Nigeria) make(s) about 24 billion naira daily or almost 9 trillion naira yearly from oil alone.

But 37.2 billion barrels divided by 2.5 million barrels per day is equal to 14,880 more days for them to drain our oil.

Dividing 14,880 days by 365 days you realise they have only about 40 more years to squander our oil to dust.

You should project that the rate of drilling will reduce as they realise the oil is getting finished. Let's therefore add 20 more years and just reason that in 60 years our oil will be gone.

And, since the Nigerian government is not as creative as UAE's (which is venturing into alternative means of revenue generation in spite of the fact that UAE has 4 times Nigeria's oil reserves and less population)...

We will all have to go back to our forefathers business of cocoa farming.

Lol...In 30 years oil price would be so low a pencil would be worth more than it. Even countries floating on oil would feel the impact. The value/price of this oil is what matters not the reserves. We would keep discovering new reserves but it doesn't really matters.
