The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has distributed 1,573,770 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). This was out of a total of 2,381,091 cards brought to the state, leaving as much as 807,320 yet to be collected. This was disclosed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Rufus Akeju, at a stakeholders’ meeting at the state headquarters of the agency, Parliament Road, Ibadan. While appealing to eligible voters to go and collect their PVCs ahead of the March and April elections, he said the electoral body would not leave any stone unturned to ensure that all eligible voters get their cards. The REC assured that areas where there were complaints of non-availability of the voter cards had been catered for and that the INEC, Abuja, had promised to print and make them available.
