Muslims go seven times between the two hills of Safa and Marwah; an action that we know as an emulation of what the second wife of Prophet Abraham (peace be on him) namely Lady Hajar, went through in trying to find help/water for her infant in the bare desert of Makkah. She ran seven times back and forth between the Safa and Marwa hills. Allah Almighty then caused baby Ishmael to rub his feet against the sand and water, known as Zamzam started gushing out. THIS is the miracle of Allah, which occurred here and it's the reason this particular location (Safa and Marwa Hills) is a place of worship for all Muslim Pilgrims. Note that movements between the two hills as well as circumambulation around the Kaaba are both part of the rites performed in fulfillment of pilgrimage.
Allah Prophecized it in Quran 22: 26-27...
"Behold! We gave the site, To Abraham, of the (Sacred) House [That is the Kaaba that he built], (Saying): 'Associate not anything (In worship) with Me; And sanctify My House For those who compass it round, Or stand up, Or bow, or prostrate themselves (Therein in prayer). And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways"
The prophecy is fulfilled every year by millions of Muslims going to fulfill Hajj rites. To say that these rites are emulations of Hindu religious practices couldn't be farther from the truth!
The circulation around a place for seven times in worship is not necessarily an action of idol worshipping or paganistic. A similar action was taken by Joshua in the bible...
Joshua 6: 12-17 "Joshua got up early the next morning and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. 13 The seven priests carrying the seven trumpets went forward, marching before the ark of the Lord and blowing the trumpets. Was Joshua worshipping an idol in the narration above??
With regard to the white garment for worship by Muslims, it only symbolizes purity and uniformity. Mind you, there are white garment churches. Are these churches a division of Hindu religion or are they emulating the Hindus??
Finally, the crescent is only a symbol in Islam, nothing more. We don't even attach importance to it the way christians do with the cross; they hang it around their necks and draw imaginary crosses upon themselves. Claiming that the Shiva's Crescent is the same as Islam's is a less than smart lie. The Hindu's shiva only has a crescent as one of his many attributes, including the third eye on his forehead, the trishula weapon, the snake Vasuki around his neck and so on. The crescent of Islam is the only symbol. It has a star in it, while the Shiva's crescent has a different symbol within. Pictures 1 & 2 below are samples of Islamic Crescent while 3 and 4 are the Shiva's. They are NOT the same!

How can a House of God become a pagan Temple of Idols? Why did Allah allow this to occur to his place of worship? If the Ka’ba was the original “House of Allah” as the Qur’an asserts, then there is absolutely no logical or theological reason as to why Muhammad directed the first Qiblah towards Jerusalem – unless he believed that it was holier than the Ka’ba. Surah 2:158: “Lo! (the mountains) As- Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them ( AS THE PAGAN CUSTOM IS).” (Pickthall) Joshua round the city seven times, is city and mountain now the same thing? |

According to Islam, Allah is said to have
built the Ka’ba centuries before the time
of Judaism and Christianity. It was
supposedly restructured later by
Abraham and Ishmael. The Ka’ba also
known as “Baitullah” means “House of
Allah.” Now, how did the “House of
Allah” which was “made by Allah”

did Allah allow this to occur to his place
of worship? If the Ka’ba was the original
“House of Allah” as the Qur’an asserts,

MUHAMMAD AS A PROPHET Muhammad’s father’s name was AbduAllah (Abdullai) and his mother’s
name was Aminah. His grandfather’s name was Muttalib. They were
idol worshipers. A careful study of islam brought by Muhammad
reveals that it is a continuation of his father’s idol worship even
though they said islam is against any form of idol worship. Islam is not
idol worship on the pages of quran but it is in truth and practice. Let us examine islamic mode of worship: 1. TAWAF BETWEEN SAFA AND
MARWA Doing Tawaf between Safa and Marwa is an Islamic ritual
associated
with the pilgrimage to Mecca. Safa and Marwa are two mounts, located
at Mecca. This ritual entails Muslims walking frantically between the
two mounts, seven times. This was originally a pagan pre-Islamic practice. Muhammad retained it for Islam, sanctioning it with yet
another Qur'anic revelations. Narrated 'Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik:
"Did you use to dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa?"
He said, "Yes, AS IT WAS
THE CEREMONIES OF THE DAYS OF PRE-ISLAMIC PERIOD OF IGNORANCE
TILL Allah REVEALED 'Verily! (The two mountains) As-Safa and Al- Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him
who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka'ba, or performs 'Umra, to
perform Tawaf between them.' " (Quran 2.158)
(Sahih Bukhari 2:26:710)
You can see from the above hadith that what was being practiced by
idol worshipers before islam was incorporated into it. I mean islam continues with the ways of idol worshipers. 2. REQUIREMENT OF IHRAM
Ihram is a state a Muslim enters into for his pilgrimage to Mecca. It
involves a series of procedures like ritual washing, wearing 'Ihram
garments', etc. Ihram was originally a pagan requirement for
worshipping idols during pre-Islamic times. Muhammad retained this
practice for Islam. Muslims assume Ihram to perform the Hajj or Umrah. Narrated 'Urwa: I asked 'Aisha : ...But in fact, this divine inspiration was
revealed concerning the Ansar who used to assume “Ihram” for
worshipping an idol called “Manat” which they used to worship at a
place called Al-Mushallal before they embraced Islam, and whoever
assumed Ihram (for the idol), would consider it not right to perform
Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. (Sahih Bukhari 2:26:706)
They continued their pagan ways of worship even when they
embraced islam. 3. PRAYING 5 TIMES TOWARDS MECCA Pagans prior to
Islam would pray five times per day towards Mecca.
Muhammad retained for Islam, this pre-Islamic practice, sanctioning it
with a story of a night trip to heaven on a mythical beast called al- Buraq. In heaven, the Hadith tells us that Allah demanded 50 prayers
per day per Muslim. Upon advice from Moses, Muhammed bargains
with Allah and successfully reduces it to five prayers per day.
Zoroastrians are also expected to recite their (kusti) prayers at least
five times a day. Has there ever been an instance where you agreed with claims that counter yours? Your manner of approach says it all, quoting loving bible passages and neglecting the hateful ones; and comparing them with less attractive verses from questionable hadiths. I don't even get your point with the 'saleke' people, Muslims mostly praise Allah when they count the rosary, except when reciting salawaat (invoking Allah's blessings on Prophet Muhammad and on few occasions, Prophet Ibrahim). If you were offended that they didn't include Jesus, as a Muslim back then, why weren't you also offended that they didn't include other prophets like Ishmael and Job?
