Actually...you chaps should be worried.

If PDP cannot keep disgruntled members in the fold....they might find it will cost them the election.

Especially in the North.....GEJ won't win the North....but he may STILL need votes from there.

The former Jigawa state chief of staff to governor Sule Lamido, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has emerge the PDP gubernatorial candidate after the party primary between him and Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu who requested to withdraw in absentia.
Shortly before the commencement of the primary election at the party headquarters in Dutse the state capp of the governorship aspirants Arch Aminu Kane met the party leadership and formerly announce his decision to step down for Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, while Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu also decided to step down but his request was rejected because he did not come in person.
The chairman electoral panel, Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu rejected the request and announce that the contest will be between Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim and Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu and ordered the 1025 delegates to vote between two aspirants.
At the end if the party primaries which was help orderly and peacefully, Alhaji Aminu Ringim emerge as Jigawa state PDP gubernatorial candidate, announcing the result, the chairman electoral panel said Alhaji Ringim won with 1020 votes out of the 1025 votes, 6 votes were invalid while his opponent Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu did not get any vote.
Alhaji Kaulaha congratulated the winner of the election and party delegates as well as party members whose conduct according to him, made the election free and fair in the state.

Its really amusing & fascinating that more than half of the most prominent APC members defected from the PDP because they were unable to secure their primary tickets on the later's platform. Anyone who is aggrieved or fails in the PDP simply jumps ship & starts chanting CHANGE. The part that baffles me the most is with the "change-motivated" electorates, no matter your political antecedents or history, provided you are now under the APC, you are "born again" & old things are passed away; even someone like our very own PATRICIA ETEH now chants "CHANGE". Are we truly that gullible as Nigerians

People’s Democratic Party governorship aspirant in Jigawa, Alhaji Aminu Kani, on Sunday defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress.

Kani made the declaration during an APC rally at Matsaro ward in Hadejia.

The aspirant noted that the APC had better programmes designed to ensure good governance and improve the socio-economic well-being of the people.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kani had vied for the seat under the platform of the PDP for the second time having lost to the incumbent Sule Lamido in 2007.

Kani also stepped down for the current governorship candidate, Malam Aminu Ibrahim, during the party’s congress in December.

Receiving the new member, the Jigawa State APC Chairman, Alhaji Ado Kiri, said the party is ready to welcome new members into its fold.

Kiri said APC had received thousands of PDP supporters who defected to the party in the last few weeks.

He explained that the party had adopted effective campaign strategies to sweep polls in the state.

NAN reports that hundreds of APC supporters including the governorship candidate, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, and his running mate, Ibrahim Hassan, attended the rally.

No...there is a high chance PDP might lose.

You have lost the North and the West. Some Northern PDP members are Buharinistas by night....to save their political careers.

The Middle Belt is not too certain....it is only the SS and SE.

And the Opposition is united....not like 2011 when it was split up....and GEJ managed to snag Tinubu at the eleventh hour.

That is why Muazu has to get all PDP members....disgruntled or no....singing from the same songbook. A lot of water has passed under the bridge.

1020 valid votes + 6 invalid votes = 1026 total votes . But there were only 1025 votes. Where did the extra one come from? In Lagos PDP primary, 863 votes were counted for 806 delegates meaning that there were 57 ghost delegates. But, we were not surprised, that is the PDP way against opponents. However, In Jigawa, there was no opponent, the candidate contested against himself alone and still rigged in one ghost delegate, no wonder the other candidate stepped down for the rigging looters.
