The source also revealed that the Party’s Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, is due in London on Monday (today), and that Buhari’s running-mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will be guest speaker at another event holding at the House of Commons next week Thursday, March 5.

On her part, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, during Saturday’s event, warned Nigerians against setting their expectations too high if the APC wins the March 28 presidential elections.

She said to the attendees: “General Buhari is not a magician," adding: “He will not find you a job if you do not go out there and help yourself.”

Mrs Amosun told “armchair critics” that to build Nigeria goes beyond sitting at a remote location and criticizing on the social media. “We need to improve our literacy levels in order to tackle mortality rates and boost education, among others,” she said, adding: “It is beyond writing on social media.”

Thank you Mrs Olufunsho Amosun, for telling the truth and shaming the nest of liars and propagandists in APC.

President Jonathan has been doing exactly what you desire. He has been working hard to improve the literacy rate by building almajiri schools in the North and establishing 6 new Federal Universities.

Question: How many schools did Buhari build during his tenure as Head of State and with billions at his disposal as PTF Chairman under Abacha?
Answer: Zero

This is a very sensational and misleading headline.
She is right in her statement. Even if the incoming Buhari govt creates a million jobs the prospective employee also has to help himself. You have to be up and doing before you can make a headway in life. The headline has just been crafted in a way that one will assume she is downgrading the general.

Perhaps you need to go examine your own head first before you make dumb comments.

Did you bother to click the link provided to read the original news article by Daily Times newspaper?
All rational people have done that. But lazy bones like you and your equally intellectually lazy Buharia are just too lazy to read.

Meanwhile, when will Buhari summon the courage to face Jonathan in a live debate to elaborate on his manifesto?

General Buhari must stop this tea drinking, cup-cake chewing gerrymandering in London, and come back here to face the electorates.
The electorates are here in Nigeria, not in UK.

You try with your spin. I will only advise you to try harder, because it does not wash.
Are you telling us that jobs will be created, and Nigerians are such a bunch of mumus that they will sit idly an expect the

What you and Mrs Olufunsho Amosun are saying in effect is that it is the faults of youths and graduates currently without jobs because they are just too lazy to pick themselves up to go and pick up the jobs. Hope you realise you are insulting the intelligence of Nigerian youths.

Wetin pesin no go hear from these APC spin doctors?

It is quite ironic that you are the one who is spinning her statement. Forget the analysis written by the author of the article and focus on her words:
She said to the attendees: “General Buhari is not a magician," adding: “He will not find you a job if you do not go out there and help yourself.”

You cannot fault her statement. She never mentioned anything about current graduates being too lazy to look for work. That is a result of your deliberately skewed interpretation of her words.
Interpreting her statement literally shows that Buhari will not help anybody to get a job if he or she does not make an effort himself. In other words if you go out there and help yourself then Buhari will 'find' you a job.

As for your first assertion, yes even if jobs are created there are some Nigerians who who will sit down at home and expect d appointment letter to come and meet them on their couch just the same way as we have youths who are on the streets actively searching for jobs. You can say that the woman's statement is directed to the first set of people.

Sound logic should always work when tested in a variety of scenarios. It should not only work in one instance.
This is the fundamental crucible for testing all Truths. It is also the basis for all science.

Either we accept the implication of her statement that all youths who cannot find work today are just plain lazy, or we must accept that the fact that her statement was wrong and ill-advised.

In any case, Mrs Amosun also "warned Nigerians against setting their expectations too high if the APC wins the March 28 presidential elections".

What is the meaning of that statement? Is General Buhari beginning to backtrack on his grandiose promises of turning Nigeria into instant Eldorado the moment he takes power. Some of them are:

(1) Boko Haram will cease fire, or be annihilated immediately he assumes office. No more bombings of markets, schools and churches.
(2) Provide free meals to all primary school children all over Nigeria.
(3) Pay unemployment allowance to all unemployed graduates.
etc, etc, etc

Is the goal post being shifting already?

This statement that you are refering to was not made verbatim by Mrs Amosun. It is the writer's interpretation of her words. Looking at it you will see that it is clearly a redacted statement.
I think you should go and look for an article where her speech was reported verbatim and then read it slowly with an open mind. Then you will understand that there is no goalpost shifting of any kind here.

Her statement is neither wrong nor ill-advised. It is actually very pertinent. Like I said before it is directed at the lazy job seekers. To say she was implying that all jobless youths are lazy is stretching logic a bit too far.

Oh boy

I am not PDP. And I don't know who is "Satanoid".
I don't belong to any political party cause I don't see any difference between them.

I stand for the truth, and I long for a Nigeria that is run in a manner that will bring prosperity and development to all corners of this country. A nation that is just and fair to all. Period.

Those are Mrs Amosun's words not mine.
Besides, I gave the link to original article in Daily Times.

If you think that a portion of Mrs Amosun's speech was wrongly reported, why has she not denied it up till today?
We know APC's propaganda machinery is 2nd to none. If there was anything wrong with the way the speech was reported, trust me Lai Mohammed would have been up in arms spitting fire in less than 24 hours
