Esther Ibanga,a Nigerian woman, pastor and activitist who has been campaigning against Boko Haram sect was awarded Japanese peace price worth $170,000 on Tuesday.

According to Niwano Peace Foundation, she has been staging a vocal protest against incessant abductions made by the Boko Haram insurgents. The Buddhist-group backed foundation said it awarded the annual prize to her because of her role in pressuring local and central governments to fight the insurgents.

“Esther has worked extensively to foster and facilitate reconciliation between conflicting religious and tribal groups, setting up an organisation that has all tribal women leaders on its membership."

I believe this will serve as a motivational factor for others.

You should have overgrown this kind of joke.

Good that she didn't win it, this would have jeopardise her interest in any of such struggle in the future.
People will always take her for granted thinking it is all because of money.
