Avoid a clear View

I have come across a bathroom that opens directly into the dining room. Someone sitting in the dining room would see whoever is going in or coming out of the bathroom. This should be avoided at all costs. The bathroom doesn't have to be secluded from the rest of the house, but it should'nt have a clear view either.

Use Direct Sunlight

Dark and stuffy bathrooms is not what you want to end up with. One of the walls of the bathroom has to be an outer wall with a window bringing in direct sunlight. In a case where direct sunlight is impossible from a window a skylight should be used. -
