This has always been my suspicion. There are top men in NA working for BH interest which you and I now know, it goes beyond Islamic jargon being propagated. While there is a scheme to advance Islamic agenda by some it is being exploited on the political front by others. In all of this no party constitution should override the National constitution, not even an Islamic interpretation should. This report was common knowledged then, and was the reason the US did not trust the Jonathan government. Newsrecue is not giving any new classified information.
How could Boko Haram have known about the plan to use gas when the Americans only briefed very high ranking officials. If Jonathan was competent, he should have immediately sacked all service chiefs and apologised to the Americans.

Any you are an elite special ops officer? Nigerians are so arrogant and ignorant at the same time. It's only Nigerians that know football more than Pep Gardiola and Jose Mourino added together, without having kicked a ball in their life.

The US of course will deploy special ops guys to survey the positions and direct the planes where to drop the gas bombs. They special ops guys would have taken out some of the Boko fighters. These operations are usually planned with high level of precision and there is chance for failure. Everything must be taken into consideration ie, exacts positions of enemy fighters, weather, timings, etc.
These type of strategy is used in freeing hostages in a confined space.
