US Report: Nigerian Military Tipped Off Boko Haram About Chibok Girls Rescue by Nobody: 8:37am On Mar 01, 2015
RECENT reports from US intelligence sources have revealed that Nigerian military commanders leaked plans to rescue the abducted Chibok girls to Boko Haram terrorists which ended up botching the operation. On April 14, over 200 pupils were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School Chibok in Borno State, sparking an international outrage. In response to the global outcry, the US sent spy planes to Nigeria to help locate the girls and a plan was agreed with the military to mount a daring rescue operation. However, according to two US Army generals, details of the rescue mission was leaked to Boko Haram before it could be put into operation, enabling the terrorists to take preventative action. Accusing the Nigerian Army of treason, the generals revealed that that the war against Boko Haram was purposefully sabotaged by the Nigerian government, as if it would not, defeating the terrorists would not have taken longer than a month. US sources pulled out from helping Nigeria rescue the missing Chibok girls after Washington discovered that Boko Haram had been fed the details of a covert rescue mission that would involve using gas. Source said that as soon as the Americans arrived and flew surveillance flights over Nigeria, they located the girls and proposed gassing the areas in the Sambisa Forest and then sending in a raid mission to rescue the girls while their terrorist captors were paralysed asleep. However, shortly after Nigeria’s security chiefs were given this plan in high confidence, its details were leaked to Boko Haram who promptly acted to foil the plot. On its next surveillance flight over the area, the US team saw the Boko Haram terrorists all wearing gas masks. US agents were very disappointed with this and immediately afterwards, Washington announced that it will no longer share information with Nigeria. This was one of the major reasons why the US gave up on a mission of working with the Jonathan government and eventually pulled out of the fight against Boko Haram. According to military sources, it was this betrayal that led to Washington sanctioning Nigeria and preventing her from purchasing security equipment because the US is not convinced of the sincerity of the Jonathan government. Since the episode, the US has refused to sell Nigeria military hardware amid fears that it may end up in the hands of Boko Haram, although the official reason given was the human rights record of the Nigerian Army. Since it began its operations in 2009, Boko Haram has always managed to infiltrate the Nigerian security forces where it has as lot of supporters and sympathisers. Terrorist cells are regularly tipped off about military missions and have subsequently been able to lie in ambush for Nigerian soldiers. Of late, however, Boko Haram has been on the back foot since the establishment of the regional Multi National Joint Task Force. Because the task force is made up of regional neighbours Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic, Boko Haram has been unable to infiltrate it, ass their troops have not been compromised. - See more at: http://www.nigerianwatch.com/news/6488-us-report-reveals-nigerian-military-tipped-off-boko-haram-about-chibok-girls-rescue-plan#sthash.4gK4UJWe.dpuf

Wow...nice story but how come we have never seen any picture that showed recovered gas masks?
American always trying to cover their asses and look innocent when they mess up.
So lets say they gas the whole camp, what kind of vehicle will they take to move the supposedly 200 sleeping girls too? Putting into consideration that they now occupy more space and that more terrorist may come by the camp at anytime to restock? undecided undecided .

Who doesn't know Nigerian military and Jonathan are the people behind boko haram?

I really pity GEJ... Hope people can still remember how Ghadafi was killed like a mad dog and his body left to rot for days in the open.

Say what you want, it is very obvious that the Government let the Boko Haram menance fester, with the hope of playing it as the last joker for political leverage in the coming elections.
The postponement of the elections butresses this fact. The PDP led Government wasted the early campaign period promoting negative propaganda against the APC Presidential candidate. When that didn't work, Mr. President must have resorted to play this 'winning the war against Boko Haram card'.
Unfortunately, Nigerians are easily swayed by silly sentiments. If this isn't so, they should have asked the following questions:

#How did the Boko Haram fighters that allegedly fought with sticks and stones in the beginning rapidly become so sophisticated as to become invinsible and elusive to our 'gallant military' for many years.

#Why were the sponsors of the sect, which the President implied he knew not hounded? This surely would have made the war very esy to win.

#Why will the foreign security forces that offered to help secure the release of the Chibok girls pull out of the operations that abruptly? Before you start blabbing rubbish about the US, I should remind you it wasn't only the US that offered help. So you can as well spin conspiracy theories about the other nations that offered help.

#And several other pertinent questions I will refrain from bringing up, due to space limitation.

Parting shot: No sincere Nigerian is unhappy about the military 'winning the war against the insurgents', but why this late? Too much has been lost. And you can't come here to deceive us that the military couldn't have done the 'Baga recapture in three hours operation' in five years before now.

This is pure deceit that can not be pardoned. Period!

What do you expect ?

The president was doubting the abduction; blaming it on the opposition while his wife was busy organising her show of shame "dariz god o" in Aso Rock.

Vagabonds In Power.

What is difficult in arranging sleeping people in different buses?!

They never occupied different territories as this as at then. Again, soldiers would be looking out around the camp for such possibilities while the girls are been rescued.

Temi, for me this isn't about politics, it's about the getting to the bottom of the issue of the Chibok Girls. Their lives to me is more important than the lives and wealth of all PDP and APC members altogether.

Whether you like it or not, every political leader must be held accountable for their deeds, I don't give a heck what party anyone here is affiliated to. angry

Boko haram festered because :
1, The elders & religious leaders in the north were passive at inception of bh because most of their targets was 'kaffirs'- christians.

2, Opposition parties encouraged them to make govt. look incompetent ( What was Tinubu & ACN govs. doing on Maiduguri streets & market working with hands held accross telling bh?).

3, The media propaganda by the opposition against the army, projecting them as abusers created a wrong image & prevented arms procurement.

4, West's obsession to see Ghaddafi go led to small & medium arms being channed to Libyan extremists who share similar islamic opinion with bh (sunnis & salafists).

5, U.S (led by democrats) & some Western allies branded Nigeria human rights abusers over the gay law signed by GEJ & used that as an excuse to block arms sales to us.

6, Opposition parties & other fifth columnists in Nigeria POLITICISED the war against boko haram, instead of encouraging our army. (Nigerians trooped out to chant 'bring back our girls' & refused to troop out in mass to chant 'God be with our soldiers').

7, Nigerians & some media houses was constantly over celebrating bh advancements thereby encouraging them with fulfilment of the desire of every terror group - media hype.

The NA have recovered tanks, APCs, RPG, guns, hiluxes, bikes, grenades, swords, flags, but not a single gas mask.

Recovery of gas masks would have made this beer parlour gist, a good explanation.

America and lies.

Did shekau auction the gas masks to NLNG after the US idiots left?

Bloody lies.

ok, lets be more LOGICAL here sire, they botched the plans then, and waited till 6 weeks before elections to do the needful and claim to come out victorious because behind the curtains of what we see, they are the real controllers of Boko Haram.

Lets just call it an electioneering campaign strategy.

I don't believe this story.
And if it were true, its probably a hausa/fulani muslim security agent that tipped boko haram off.
Jonathan ain't got nfin 2 gain from d girls' kidnap.
Infact,he has a lot to lose by it.
Common sense should dictate that.
Anyway,common sense ain't common
