The declaration of the Esogban of Benin Kingdom and chairman of Benin Forum, Chief David Edebiri that the Binis will not vote for President Goodluck Jonathan is causing a verbal war among palace chiefs in Benin Kingdom.
The younger brother of the Oba of Benin and the Enogie of Obazuwa, Prince Edun Akenzua, who reacted on behalf of the Benin Royal family to the lingering division among Benin palace Chiefs over Jonathan’s endorsement said it is wrong and unthinkable to drag highly respected monarch into political turf.
Expressing concern over the situation, the Benin royal family described the development as abominable to the Benin Kingdom, Leadership reports.
Prince Akenzua criticized members of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization in Edo state, led by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for an alleged attempt to desecrate the Holy Aruosa Cathedral where the Oba worships, by taking their campaigns to the church, saying: “it is even more so when the leader or the coordinator is a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church.”

No resident of Benin City, or even other parts of Edo State, who witnessed the eight-year plus rule of the PDP and is currently witnessing that of Adams Oshiomhole of the APC, would pray for the state or even the country to witness the PDP rule again. In Benin City, Lucky Igbinadion refused to (re)construct modern roads and embark on the beautification of the city, saying it's ancient. But when Oshiomhole came, everything changed. See the nice roads and drainages in the state. Ring Road is now a sight to behold.

Whoever that says Osiomhole is doing nothing on infrastructure, is a liar. A person that is not resident, but just passing through the state can testify of his giant strides.

I usually don't insult people I don't know but you are a fool for mentioning the Oba in your comment. If the Oba was on their side PDP will not need to be sharing that much money in Edo South.
