my name is frank and am a jambite...this is happening at rivers state jamb office located at D-lines, Port Harcourt and we are over 400 people there and we have all submitted our cards for reprinting .

firstly, we were suppose to reprint our photocard last two weeks but it was postponed till this week Monday, we endured.

now reaching Monday we came to reprint and they kept us under the sun from 8am to 6pm waiting to hear our names to no avail. and i myself didn't eat that day until 6pm and many others, they told us to come the next day(tuesday) .. we endured.

reaching Tuesday we faced the same thing from 8am in the morning till 6pm under the sun. we all got angry and a riot started , 30mims later we saw police drove in with great speed and was driving towards people, pointing their guns At us. it all ended moments later and we left.

Now today Wednesday we arrived jamb office and we saw police men everywhere. the most annoying part is that we still were not given our photocards which contains our center, dates, number etc.. instead at around 5:40 the police started shooting tear gas at us and started a stampede. we all ran for our lives and they started shooting at us. Some people fainted due to the effect of the tear gas and were rushed out looking for help. and i couldn't see clearly. some of us got angry and we started stopping incoming cars causing hold up and chaos. the police men still followed us and continued shooting at us not tear gas anymore. we were all running for our lives.

owners of shops and houses nearby had to close and lock up..we were looking for houses to enter for safety but no way

and we have not still collected our photocards and jamb starts on Monday and we have to go tomorrow . i dont know what will happen tomorrow.. we are scared!!. please mods take this to the front page so Nigeria can know what jambites are facing in Rivers State.

Nigerians like to suffer and endure confusion; JAMB like INEC are always prepared in the pages of Newspapers. Truth be told, conduct of exam by JAMB should be scrapped. Each University do your exam and admission while JAMB sets guidelines for entry. JAMB and NUC should be merged in the long run.

Frank, you guys need to be very careful when you get there tomorrow. Ensure you are far off from those causing trouble there.
The JAMB authorities sure has a way of addressing concerns as these and would do so soon enough.

A Man who runs JAMB like a Fiefdom and denies staff their legitimate Allowances is bound to run down the Organization!
Up till now, JAMB staff srill don't know where they'll be posted to supervise Exams!
The Allowances of the Last Exams they Supervised has not been paid.. A lot of Hotels are on the Neck of Jamb staff who lodged with them during the last exercise! Most parted with their fones to avert embarrasment!
One year later, Their allowances HAVE NOT BEEN PAID!
His staff are dying in silence!
The same man that RUINED NECO has now come to JAMB to ruin it!
Last week a Staff received a Query for not attending MORNING PRAYERS and his name was struck off the supervision list!
He's credited with releasing JAMB results a week after the exams, but AT WHAT EXPENSE? Thousands of "PENDING RESULTS" which inevitalbly becomes "NO RESULT"

Somehow, the FG is reluctant to probe this Fraud of a Registrar!

I pity Nigerian Students!

JAMB SHOULD BE SCRAPPED!

they blocked the cyber cafes and said that it will be only at jamb office!!.. that if you registerd at cyber cafes you're On Your Own.

The jamb officials should be investigated by EFCC, why stop people from printing their photo card themselves. Thieves!

At a time they was a riot in the rivers state house of assembly...so what do u expect from APC led govt of Rivers state?riots everywher just to remin relevant...riots in oyigbo,degema,okrika,state house of assmbly,jamb office and many more..its time to uproot amaechi and his arabic party

All this for something you can do online.
Anyway, JAMB had changed the URL for doing it and didn't tell anyone so they can only do it themselves.
I don't know what this country has turned to.

When u enter Nigerian university, u'd start work properly.

As an aspiring literate, endurance, tolerance, patience and understanding would make u a better person.

I guess they re not doing it intentionally, they might be facing issues and protesting would only put u guess on the wrong edge.

When I graduated, it took me extra months to do my clearance, no more accommodation, no more feeding allowance but I endured cos dats part of the discipline I acquired
