There are indications that a new political party called “Young Democratic Party” (YDP) is trying to force the INEC to recognize them as a political body, having gained the court's permission to compel the electoral body to identify the party in the forthcoming elections scheduled to hold on 28th of March which is barely four week from now.

YDP has requested INEC to reprint the ballot papers to include YDP for the elections or postpone the polls again.

Report from Sahara Reporters stated that the stance of the party may have boosted ongoing efforts to scuttle the forthcoming elections.

As the Abuja based Federal High Court has on Wednesday has ordered INEC to recognize YDP and accommodate the party in the coming elections.

YDP's public secretary, Ugo Nwofor, speaking with journalists said INEC “has just two options."

The decisions, he said, were either reprinting the ballot boxes to include the party or postponing the elections in order to do so.

INEC has not commented on this development.

I don't think YDP is asking for too much...INEC should recognise them as a party, include them in the ballot paper.....and if INEC lacks the necessary logistics to do this before the election date, let them postpone the election..

Even a fool can understand this!!!
