Indications have emerged that the INEC PVC card readers can be pre-loaded with votes as well as pre-programmed to reject PVCs.
This is worrisome given the high premium placed on the use of the card readers for a free and fair poll in the next few weeks.

Now all it requires to achieve that is some crooked INEC officials and a bunch of tech-savvy guys and the elections are compromised big time.

Contrary to INEC’s claim that the Card Readers are fail safe, experts informed Sunday Vanguard that the facilities can be pre-programmed to reject PVCs.

In addition, the Card Readers can also be pre-loaded even without using the right PVCs.

Am beginning to think along that direction but for the constitutional implications. Better still why not suspend the use of the cards in the interim as some have advocated. We can go ahead with the elections just using the pvc, but a scenario where some guy will stay somewhere and manipulate the system is scary.

Imagine a situation where as has been reported that in some parts of the country, the PVCs are held by the governors, emirs and traditional rulers, the PVCs of certain people say non-indigenes who may be perceived to likely vote against a certain candidate are carefully separated from the rest, their numbers taken and carefully pre-programmed to be rejected by the machines.

On election day, all of them would be told that their PVCs are not working and so cannot vote. This is pure kata-kata in the making.

We all want free and fair election. Election should be postponed until PVC readers issues is rectified then we can vote our preferred candidate. Why the rush ?

PDP will say anything to prevent card readers. It does not make them true.
Card readers are a must.

Time for parallel government to be set up and kept in place until free and fair elections are conducted.

After 4 years to prepare, only days till the postponed elections that they are discovering flaws.

APC should install a parallel government immediately pending free and fair elections and the swearing in of the winner.
