Embattled Senator Kabiru Marafa (APC-Zamfara), staged a walk out at the red chamber over the composition of standing committees of the Senate in Abuja on yesterday.

It was reported that the Senator interrupted plenary session during a debate on the adoption of 8th Senate Legislative Agenda. According to him, it is illegal for President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to go on with the matter when the issue of composition of Senate committees had not been resolved.

The Senate President ruled him out of order, on the grounds that Senate had adopted the Votes and Proceedings of the previous day. Angered by the ruling of the Senate President, Marafa walked out of the red chamber.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal sitting in Yola on Tuesday upheld the ruling of a tribunal sacking Senator Bashir Marafa and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to issue Certificate of Return to the All Progressives Congress candidate, Yusuf Abubakar.

According to DAILY POST, Bashir Marafa of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, representing Taraba Central Senatorial District was on September 30, removed from office by the National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Taraba State. The tribunal said the petitioners in the case, the APC, and its candidate, had proved their case beyond reasonable doubt.

Marafa, however, appealed the tribunal’s decision in their separate judgements on Tuesday, the three judges, Jummai Sankey, Duobele Abraham and Ridwan Maiwada of the Court of Appeal, unanimously agreed that the appeal lacked merit and was therefore dismissed.

Senator Bashir Marafa is from Taraba State while Senator Kabir Marafa is from Zamfara state... The former was sacked and not d latter..

Its clear that doctokwus is the biased reader. the person that posted has apologized, accepted the blame and made the corrections, which shows that the post was meant to merely inform nairalanders and not attack any party. if you even read the corrected post, it had a part that also spoke about PDP sacked senator. Why have there been no reply for PDP accusing the post of being bias? The other dude was just enjoying himself online and expressing the main message of the post but you are busy saying something that was and is not written in the post rather what your felt.
