Presidency Doubts Mu’azu’s Loyalty –punch Investigation by LogicPower(m): 12:30am On Mar 09, 2015
There were indications that the Presidency may have put the National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, under close watch, The Punch has learnt.

It was learnt that the Presidency was not comfortable with the activities of the chairman of the ruling party as some members of the party were said to have informed President Goodluck Jonathan of the alleged double-faced activities of Mu’azu.

It was learnt that the Presidency took the action following reports against the former Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda that he was not fully committed to the second term aspiration of President Jonathan.

Those against him were said to have informed the President and members of his kitchen cabinets that Mu’azu did not take any action following the stoning of the President’s convoy in some states in the North.

Specifically, he was said to have kept quiet over the stoning of the President’s vehicle in his home state.

The sad event in the state was blamed on the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, but the state Governor, Yuguga said that those who stoned the President were sponsored by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Muhammed.

The minister is a member of the ruling party.

The Presidency source said, “You can see that Mu’azu has not been vociferous in his campaign for the President in the North.

“He has never organised any rally on his own and has never attended any other except those organised by the party which were attended by the President.

“He has remained silent on the stoning of the President’s convoy in Taraba, Katsina and Taraba states. We have this unclear notion that he’s more interested in having a President from his region than President Jonathan returning. So, we are watching him.”

The source said the sign that Mu’azu could be up to a sinister motive emerged on the day the President inaugurated the party’s Presidential Campaign Council.

“Instead of speaking on the task ahead of the party and the campaign, Mu’azu in the full glare of the television and invited guests, lambasted the President and the party,” he added.

The presidency is found of using & dumping PDP members - Mu'azu 2015.
Hoping for more confusion in PDP to pave way for easier access to Aso rock for GMB.

I created a thread last week where I said Edwin Clark instructed Jonathan not to trust Muazu with his presidential campaign.

As we know today, Jonathan has not been moving around the country with Adamu Muazu in the last two weeks.

So, because they stoned Mr.Presisent, what is he suppose to do? Fight them?
Mr.President knows by the time he put forward is quest to be Nigeria's President, he is also subject to public ridicule.. I mean, nobody forces anybody.

Hilary Clinton has been assualted nine out of ten and even shoes aimed at her

Albeit,, this story or rumour might as well passed for a Blanket Accusation. The PDP Chairman is too too cool for this

I have said it severally that Jona is programmed to fail. I have suspected for some time that muazu isn't a big fan of Jona. First clue was when he made the comment monkey dey work baboon dey chop, Second instance was when Jonathan was stoned in bauchi state where he was the former governor, 3rd instance was the story in which we heard he complained about the first lady's influence, fourth was when he said on national tv that he had confidence in jega contrary to what the campaign chairman Ahmadu Ali said. The list goes on and on. No one really likes Jonathan. I just wish he would at least be honest with himself. Always strikes me as a jolly good fellow but not suitable for the mantle of leadership of this magnitude. Jonathan go in peace.

Even within the pdp Jonathan commands little respect, yet he is the candidate they are hawking all over town. It is just sad to think one person has brought the esteemed position so low. The party chairman is not meant to be the President's lap dog or secondary to the President's wife. People in the pdp need to realise that Jonathan may leave them with a corpse after all the dissension and distrust he has sown with his weak and indecisive leadership. If the captain threatens to sink the ship, throw him overboard!

The problem is that GEJ and his unfortunate wife don't trust anybody except that person is from South South, Edwin Clark is their navigator, GEJ'S biggest problem is his lack of ability to assemble a team of advisers and aides that can see beyond their noses, I am beginning to agree with OBJ who said in his book "my watch" that GEJ'S team of advisers are peopled by individuals who are motivated in all things by their hand, mouth and pocket, these are the people who advised him to believe that as long as he can spend money, he will have the presidential election won so easily meanwhile they are profiting heavily from the whole thing, they made GEJ to believe that money will do all things for him therefore he has been on spending spree since the beginning of the 6 weeks extension he forced on INEC, buying bloggers, internet warriors, church leaders, traditional institutions etc, meanwhile all these will add little or nothing to his electoral fortunes
Mark my words, the March 28 election will be an easy walk over for GMB and APC

Why will GEJ not trust people from south south? That was exactly the problem of Ironsi. Trusting enemies with one's life is like jumping in a river and expecting sharks to save you from sinking. Muazu and Lamido, if given chance, no doubt will support a Northerner but the only bait that holds them is the hope of Gej handing over to either of them in 2019.

The unfortunate truth is, even many of GEJ's advisers and presidency staff may not have much respect for him; but they would nonetheless continue to cluster around him because they know that even as clueless as he is, he is the president and can dish out material favours like no one else.

And contrary to what Asari, Clark and other of his SS clannish goons falsely claim, the low regard Nigerians have for GEJ as a president has NOTHING whatsoever to do with his being from a minority ethnic group; it is simply because he is such a weak leader who does not seem to be in control of anything, or anybody, under his stewardship.

For instance, under his watch, we witness unprecedented level of IMPUNITY in corruption, looting and stealing, mainly because his body language and public utterances continue to send wrong signals to the thieving elite that they would never go to jail, as long as he is the president.

Under his watch, the BH insurgents also seem to believe, albeit wrongly, that they are stronger than the Nigerian military; hence they can seize control of towns and villages and kidnap hundreds of schoolgirls and continue to keep them unchallenged, as if there was no government at all.

Even his party, the PDP, has been badly, and apparently irreparably, damaged by his clear lack of leadership; the hitherto formidable and indomitable PDP has now become a shadow of its former self; it is now like a giant rudderless ship that is destined to hit a huge rock and disintegrate, to our relief!

Do you blame the party chairman! We are talking about cultural incompatibility here, in the north, women stays behind and support their husbands, here we are talking about a President who is being commandeered by an unfortunate misguided illiterate wife, so you expect Adamu Muazu to be dancing to the tune of Patience Jonathan abi! To be sincere with you, there is no single politician of northern extraction that is supporting the presidential bid of GEJ, those hausas around him are just there for what they can get from him
Even in the southwest, the governors of Ondo and Ekiti States are supporting GEJ not because of their love for him or their believe in his ability and competence, but for self preservation since the duo are completely finished politically should GMB win the Presidential race and I can say with all assurance that the two southwest governors are already changing tactics, the governor of Ondo State is PDP in the open but there are insinuations in Akure that the governor is already putting in place machineries to placate GMB and APC since he knows that a GEJ's candidacy if like an impossibility
Let's be fair to Adamu Muazu, this is a man who was governor in 1999 when GEJ was deputy governor, to respect GEJ as president is easy for him since fate and destiny designed it that way but for him to crawl before his illiterate wife is a practical impossibility, ire o!

What Jonathan has done, means the pdp is unlikely to ever put forward a minority member as presidential candidate for the next twenty or thirty years. At least when Obasanjo was president no one saw him as a yoruba president, but now everyone accepts we have an Ijaw president. Believe you me, the pdp will erase every evidence of Jonathan’s presence when he loses this election. I believe Obj and others are just biding their time before they take back the pdp from Jonathan and his women.

For a party national chairman, he has been very very quiet. Although he appears with the president at rallies, he comes across as a mole rather than a determind party head. . , very detached and uninvolved. . It is also very interesting that the only time he came out openly these days to speak on issues was when he rallied the pdp heads to face the public/press and declare their loyalty and trust on Jega! How about the NSA Sambo Dasuki? He might be the one that first mentioned the idea of postponing the elections, but how is it that inspite of all the info he gathers on daily basis, he was unaware of Jegas nocturnal meetings with the opposition untill jegas moves became even more brazen and noticeable?

Lots of emotional rants here . . Who is OBJ politically without the already existing structures erected by the pdp big wigs? If he is that influential, how come he cant win in his immediate ward? Insults won't win this election for you lots. With all his cleulessness, jona is a step ahead. He got the election postponed, everybody is praising him for that now. . You guys praised the card reader as the game changer,,but with what happened during the mock trials, folks are starting to beg for the thing to be discarded. . That too will soon be discarded in the coming days and will be the final nail in buharis political coffin. You will cry on May 29.

When will Jonathan grow a mind of his own? He needs to stop being Edwin Clark's kite lest his fortunes will continue to be on a downward spiral. Who gets on the bad side of an influential politician like Muazu on the eve of a presidential election? Even if he controls just one LG in the north, those votes are too critical to lose, not to talk of someone who has the political base Mu'azu has.

To make matters worse, even if theres no truth to the allegation, Mu'azu will definitely see this report, and the fact that his loyalty is being questioned in this way cannot yield anything positive for Jonathan or the PDP. All because of Edwin Clark who was nowhere to be found when Turai was bullying Johnny boy all over the villa and refusing to hand over the Presidency.

The end of a corrupt party that boasted it would rule for 60 years uninterrupted looms.
