An investigation is underway in Egypt after an eleven-year-old
boy died of injuries he received when he was allegedly beaten by one of his teachers. The boy was taken to hospital from an elementary school in Cairo on Thursday with serious head injuries. He died on Sunday of a brain haemorrhage. A teacher at the state school in a poor neighbourhood has been suspended and questioned by police. He faces charges of using excessive force resulting in death. Despite legal prohibitions on corporal punishment, beatings are still regularly practised at many Egyptian schools.
Question: Should flogging or hitting a child be outlawed here in Nigerian schools?
Aren't there other ways a school child can be punished asides flogging/beating?

It should be illegal to flog any child

Teachers should look for other ways to punish a child,am not even happy wen my 3yr old niece comes back frm sch nd complained dat she was flogged by her teacher
