never saw it as an avenue for flirting

keep the rhyme flowing

Re: The Rhyming Game by gwatala(m): 1:25am On Sep 10, 2006
I like this thread so much. It reads like a song.
It must be "fly" to have remained alive this long
So long that I could only read the first page
and hop in here fast, last page, to join on the stage.

But isn't that a problem? So much is lost in between
I'm sure I'm not the only one, do you get what I mean?
I can only imagine, only guess, that much fun is encrypt
hidden somewhere in the pages, within those I've skipped.

But only if you care, I'm not here to rock the boat.
If I speak for you, that's good. Enough of this rote.
Maybe we could make it another thread, another task
Look below and see what one other NaiLander came to ask.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-18008.0.html
Otherwise, let the games go on, the drumbeats pummel.
Re: The Rhyming Game by waleralpho(m): 4:31pm On Sep 11, 2006
if the rhymes remain tight
that will make the game right
if u'r lost, let's throw in sum light

this thread used 2 seem childish
now we try to make it stylish
pple voice out n say it's rubbish
undecided, don't mind 'em, they r all IRISH
Re: The Rhyming Game by dolarpo(m): 7:03pm On Sep 11, 2006
now this is different
because it is inherent
with this trend
we aint gonna repent
i mean its only for the persistent.
Re: The Rhyming Game by Hugoboi(m): 7:11pm On Sep 11, 2006

Re: The Rhyming Game by gwatala(m): 2:28am On Sep 12, 2006
@Waleralpho

Thanks for this, but look below
There you gave yourself a fatal blow:

waleralpho:

But you are wrong, you know, the Irish write best.
You said it just for the rhyme, and for that I let it rest.
Go read GB Shaw, S. Beckett, WB Yeats, O Wilde, even J. Joyce
You'll see why the Irish, and not the English, gave literature its voice.

Kai!

Re: The Rhyming Game by gwatala(m): 11:38pm On Sep 12, 2006
Thanks Dolarpo, I'm not worried about the shoddy.
If she would speak sense, she would have done so already.
Re: The Rhyming Game by Hugoboi(m): 12:43pm On Sep 16, 2006
I wonda why some cats rhyme so shoddy
Pop up! and all thay talk of aint nuthin but shorty
Dolarpo! it aint a question of droppin names on babymine
and wat do u mean 'she'l be calling out for some lime'
I read ur lines and sumn sounds so different
Like ur ingenuity @ strippin' flows's so inherent
hope u blow cos man! u need to repent
wack rhymes r not 4 the persitent
Re: The Rhyming Game by gwatala(m): 7:04pm On Sep 16, 2006
Hmm!
Re: The Rhyming Game by somegirl(f): 7:18pm On Sep 16, 2006
with what does your "hmm!" rhyme?
did you not find the time
to craft a few poetic lines?
well, you'll have to pay the fines
for this abominable crime
and next time, don't forget to rhyme!
Re: The Rhyming Game by gwatala(m): 7:34pm On Sep 16, 2006
The muse, it seems, does not just reside
where its boy goes, nor do words always provide.
Re: The Rhyming Game by waleralpho(m): 9:21am On Sep 19, 2006
