As we are preparing for this coming election,politicians are running up and down to get people’s vote.some of them are sacred or even know the people might reject them while some of them are rest assure they will win based on what they have on ground.we have a lot of them contesting for different public offices seat such as the president,governors,senators,house of reps and so on.i will be looking specifically at the 10 sure-banker governors,incumbent or incoming that have higher chance of being elected or re-elected as the case may be.i will say few things about them you can check online if you want to know more.you can check after April 11 election.
• Oyo state-senator abiola ajimobi(apc):he is the people’s governor who has done so much,he built mokola flyover,employed over 20,000 youths,brought companies abroad to come and invest in the state,level of security has improved and so on.
• Awka ibom-udom Emmanuel(pdp):has the support of governor Godswill akpabio who has done a lot for the people of akwa ibom,transforming the state,and has a lot of pdp supporter in the state.
• Delta state-senator ifeanyi okwa(pdp):a medical doctor turned politician.he was a council chairman,commissioner for agriculture and natural resources,he was appointed the secretary to the state government (SSG) in 2007 and was elected senator representing delta north senatorial district and has the blessing of the outgoing governor uduaghan.
• River state-nyesom wike(pdp):he was appointed and sworn in as the minister of state for education in 2011 and later resigned in dec 2014 and won the state governorship ticket under pdp.river state has been known to be a strong pdp state even as the incumbent governor rotimi amechi who won the election twice under the pdp platform and later decamp to apc.nyesom wike has the backing of the president and the first lady who came form the state.
• Kwara state-adulfatah ahmed(apc):the incumbent governor,he was among some pdp governor who defected to the apc.he has transformed ilorin the state capital and sure his people who give him second term.
• Niger state-umar nasko(pdp):alhaji nasko attended the university of lodz poland in ‘’96 and jagiellonian university krakow,poland in 2001 for his master degree.between 2001 and 2002 he served as assistant secretary,senator commitee on drugs,narcotics,financial crime coming under the platform of the pdp which is strong party in the state and his hand being raised by the outgoing governor and the chairman of the northern governors,governor babaginda aliyu.
• Sokoto state-Hon.aminu tambuwal(apc):the current speaker of the house of representatives,alhaji tambuwal was born on January 10 1966 in tambuwal village in sokoto state.he studied law at the usman dan fodio university,sokoto.he came to office under the platform of the pdp contested against the preferred candidate for the speaker-ship slot and won due mainly to support from across the aisle.
• Kano state-engr.adullahi umar ganduje(apc):the deputy governor of kano state,emerged the all progressive congress candidate for the 2015 governorship election in the state.kwankwaso in 1999,chose him as his deputy despite contesting the primary election against him.being a deputy for so many years gives him an upper hand.
• Ogun state-senator ibukunle amosun(apc):he said that if you want to judge or asses his administration.which he focus on what he call five cardinal programmes which are affordable and qualitative education;efficient health care delivery;increase in agricultural production and industrialization;affordable housing and urban renewal and lastly,rural-urban infrastructural development and employment generation.
• Enugu state-Hon.ifeanyi ugwuanyi(pdp):hon ifeanyi has an individual’s ambition to serve his people in an capacity elicited so much enthusiasm,staunch support,excitement,euphoria and general acceptance as has been evidence by adopting him as the governorship candidate under pdp platform with the support of the gov sullivan chime who is ready to pass the baton to him
