Zimbabwe releases 100,000,000,000,000 bank note

Zimbabwe's central bank is releasing a new bank note that's worth 100,000,000,000,000 in local dollars, news organizations report.

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe announced via the state-run Herald newspaper that it's introducing a family of notes denominated in trillions.

"The $10 trillion note has the image of the RBZ Building and the Conical Tower at the Great Zimbabwe National Monuments," the paper says. "The $100 trillion note has the image of a buffalo and the Victoria Falls, the $50 trillion the Kariba Dam spilling and an elephant, while a mineworker drilling in an underground shaft and the GMB grain silos appear on the new $20 trillion note."

BBC News says the new 100 trillion bill is worth about $30.

Zimbabwe has the world's highest rate of inflation. Over the summer, AFP says the government reported a 231 million percent inflation rate.

Guys this is really crazy. So they might have to redefine counting for us. Abeg, after trillion, what do we get? is it zillion?

The World's Worst Central Banker

Your critics blame your monetary policies for Zimbabwe's economic problems. I've been condemned by traditional economists who said that printing money is responsible for inflation. Out of the necessity to exist, to ensure my people survive, I had to find myself printing money. I found myself doing extraordinary things that aren't in the textbooks. Then the IMF asked the U.S. to please print money. I began to see the whole world now in a mode of practicing what they have been saying I should not. I decided that God had been on my side and had come to vindicate me.

In November you shut down Zimbabwe's stock exchange. Will you open it again?
The stockbrokers were creating a money supply that wasn't there. I printed Z$1.5 quadrillion, but the exchange was operating with Z$100 sextillion. So I said, "Who is doing my job?" Unless there is more discipline and honor, the exchange will stay closed. I can't be bothered. I don't know when it'll open. It's a free market, a business which must be allowed to succeed or fail.

No.
The counting is bi for two, tri for three, quart or d for four, quint for five, sext for six, sept for seven, oct for eight. find nine and ten for yourself.
dont forget the suffix ..illion
.
