10 WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR VOTE

Just few days to Nigeria General Election and is not a new story in Nigeria again that most of its elections are rigged followed by an endless court actions.

The issue now is on how best to protect your vote, so that your right and credible candidate emerge to unleash the suffering of the masses.

Preliminary stage in vote protection:
1. Register: For you to talk about protection of vote, you must have registered and collected you PVC

2. Select Your Candidate: Make up your mind without compromise/influence on the right credible candidate you would like to vote for, without minding his/her political party or your political party.

3. Vote: Go with your PVC card and make sure you cast your vote, correctly, accurately and timely.

10 Ways to Protect Your Vote

1. Know Your Rights. This knowledge will give you full understanding of your rights as a voter, what to do and what not to do. Don’t be intimidated and don’t intimidate anyone.

2. Charge your phone and go with your extra battery/ power bank, recharged with enough airtime for text/calls, subscribe with a reasonable data plan for internet access.

3. On that day, wear simple cloths and have reasonable money for food/snacks to sustain you all through.

4. Remain at the polling units after casting your votes in order to make sure your votes are counted, recorded and protected.

5. Send some smart and matured representatives to follow the ballot box to the final collation center.

6. Broadcast the results through social networks immediately after announcing the result at your polling unit, if possible scan/snap the signed/stamped result and broadcast.

7. Go on time and take note of your polling unit environment and suspect every move including your fellow agents, security personals because they might have collected gratification to compromise.

8. Use security microchips and phones to cover the event.

9. Don’t give or accept any form of gratification at the polling unit, because it might bring problem. Note people are watching you too.

10. Above all, shun violence. Losers often use this violence technique to cancel such pooling unit thereby frustrating potential winners.
