i was heading down to the island for work but i made a quick detour to the military cantonment (81 division) in order to visit a friend.
On my way out, i spotted this monstrous looking APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier). It might look small on camera but it was really really big.

It blocked the road (towards maryland) for a while and caused massive hold up ( Traffic jam).I really dont understand the point of that.

Again, while i was waiting for the APC to clear out, i saw a soldier slapping an "okada man" left and right because he didn't stop and "worship" the APC....

All the same, it was a sight to behold.

am i the only one noticing the high military presence in lagos?

Its to checkmate APC rigging machine. That's the real APC, any other APC is Asiwaju's property and is fake.

Using your analogy, i guess the 20 naira policeman in your neighborhood is your personal lord and master right?
cos he is also there to protect you regardless of your 20 naira!
