Elections 2015 Coverage: No Neutral Media Station! by ipad(m): 11:08am On Mar 29, 2015 |
Its Sad to note that there is no Neutral Media Station in Nigeria (especially TV)... Not even Channels TV... Been following their coverage of the elections since yesterday, expecting a balanced, objective bird's eye view of the elections... and My Conclusion is that they are professionals at "subtlety"... No wonder they've been Channel of the Year 9 times! With so many angles to cover this elections from, they only focused on the failings of INEC. Its like all they're focused on is to discredit the elections and give the FG reasons to pull a June 13 fast one on Nigerians... Yes! INEC was not on top of its game, But Was that all that happened during the 2015 presidential elections worthy of reporting? What of showing the unrelenting spirit of the Nigerian, the innovativeness of Corpers in handling the challenges facing them, the dynamics of Security officials both good and bad, Even the angle of How people managed/survived the ordeal of waiting for upwards of 10 hours to vote: what did they eat, how did they fare? Etc. Diaris God O! 3 Likes 1 Share |

June 13? Even GEJ will not dare to do that. Nigerians dey Red eye right now O! The elections had little issues. This was to be expected considering the fact that we are adopting card readers for the first time, but the elections were quite free and fair. GEJ dollars won't work for this one. |
