The sad fact is that religion and politics are closely correlated in Nigeria. It is not hard to see that a majority of the population votes along both religious and ethnic lines. Accordingly, one would expect politicians to play to whichever one of these factors tickles the people's sentiments. Essentially, most Nigerian politicians and religious figureheads are charlatans of the same cloth. 2 Likes |
