Emotional Politics--the Problem Of Nigerians by Nobody: 4:26am On Apr 03, 2015
God sees the heart, men see the face

Nigeria is full of people who play politics with the minds of people. They come to power and use the emotional weaknesses of their citizens to haunt them. It takes only a person with a third eye to understand and differentiate between EMOTION and POLITICS.

What many Nigerians are following right now is emotion and not politics. They are deceived by the kind of smiles in a face; the number of wrinkles and frowns. They go by the face and not the heart.

What people failed to understand is that God is more angry with anyone who is responsible in shedding the blood of souls in peace than in war. What it means is that, when war is not ongoing and people are being attacked and killed, it becomes a greater sin than when war is ongoing. That is the case of Boko Haram. No war was ongoing in the north, but then, Boko Haram began to strike endlessly. They killed 18,000 people in the process, but the president did nothing about it--that becomes a great sin to him.

Jonathan Goodluck's lackadaisical attitude to the death of his citizens shows how selfish he is. 18,000 souls of civilians lost under your care and your showed no care? Well, some people may ask why he should care. Some may even say Jonathan is not to blame for the death in the north, but I say NAY!

check the account of King David when he left a man in the middle of a war to be killed. The man died and David suffered a huge consequence thereafter. Jonathan is guilty of the blood of the northerners for his inability to fob up the military with adequate machinery for the space of four years. See what he achieved with the military in six weeks, much more could have been achieved in four years if he had come in too early enough.

To cover up his sins, Jonathan rightly displayed a lot of emotions in his last days in office and the whole world fell for it. But God does not fall for emotional displays. He sees through the heart. Jonathan will forever be guilty of the death of the 18,000 Boko Haram victims until he openly come up to say that he is at fault. No other act would cover up that gargantuan murderous act.

Jonathan should have left power long ago if really he was a true democrat. He couldn't tackle Boko Haram, then he should have left it for other person to do. He left them stranded and dead, and he expected to get their votes?

Until Nigerian stop playing emotional politics, our leaders will not stop doing us evil. You won't be surprised if Jonathan have only successfully taught other African leaders how to do evil till the last minute and then in the last minute, after being heavily defeated, with no chance of victory then turn themselves into a motivational speaker just to gather people's favour. Such a show is like a man who drank alcohol and forgot his sorrow. Those sorrow will definitely return after the intoxicating effect of the alcohol has evaporated off his system.

Jeroboam the son of Nebat who made Israel to sin is mentioned forever in the bible, so hold no grudge against anyone who mentions Goodluck the son of Jonathan who causes Boko Haram to stay.

Let's stop mixing emotions with politics. UNTIL GOODLUCK THE SON OF JONATHAN WHO MADE THOUSANDS TO DIE CAN PUBLICLY SAY HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE DEATHS, GOD WILL NOT TAKE HIM SERIOUS!!!

@Sammyhoe,
There is nothing intrisincally wrong with being emotional about politics,it is the emotions we have that is the propeller of our various actions,its the anger felt by Nigerians to Jonah's "lackadaisical" ways that got him voted out and anger is an emotional response.

It is when the emotion overrides common sense or causes "blindness" that it becomes a problem and some people's emotional weakness will always make them cut their noses to spite their faces.
Its the same lack of proper judgement that has made bitter folks hail Jona as an hero, there is zero heroism about him or his actions, he knew he had been boxed to a corner and there was no way out. He even made it worse by betraying his PDP associates by only negotiating for soft landing for himself and wife without consulting them before conceeding& left them with eggs on their faces,especially Orubebe who will go down in the annal of history as a public nuisance and disgrace while trying Good or Bad to defend their/his cause.
Which hero goes dancing after a bomb blast kills hundreds or increases pump price while his "people" are still basking in the aura of a new year celebration?
